It’s coming back! Rafiki’s Planet Watch will once again be returning to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The land, themed around the character from The Lion King will return later this summer.

Speaking of The Lion King, when the area reopens, it will include a few new enhancements and join the celebration of all things The Lion King. Can you believe the film celebrates its 25th anniversary this year? Rafiki’s Planet Watch will include new experiences that draw from Disney’s rich heritage of wildlife animation, and features that celebration the popular film.

For those who weren’t aware, the land features a petting zoo, zoological exhibits, the ability to potentially view animals having surgical procedures, the importance of conservation, and more.

The land was put on seasonal status back in October and many, myself included, thought it was curtains for the area.

There’s been no official opening date announced for Rafiki’s Planet Watch, but we’ll be sure to share more details as we find them out, here on the blog.
