Review: Hollywood & Vine Minnie’s Halloween Dine
Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is buffet dining with character. Minnie observes four seasons at Hollywood & Vine by changing character costumes and decor while the food, with the exception of the dessert bar, stays the same. We stopped by for dinner recently to check out the food and cute costumes at Minnie’s Halloween Dine, which runs through November 5, 2025.
Through October 11, breakfast is a buffet with Disney Junior friends, and lunch and dinner are Minnie’s Seasonal Dining. Starting October 12th, Disney Junior dining will end, and all 3 meals will be Minnie’s Seasonal Dining.
TouringPlans Subscribers, Liners, rate Hollywood & Vine an Average 89%, which is #48 of 93 Table Service locations in Walt Disney World. Lunch and dinner run $63 per adult and $42 per child ages 3-9, plus tax and tip. Annual Passholders receive a 10% discount here. Disney Dining Plans are accepted, and all 3 seatings will cost you 1 Table Service Dining Credit per person.
Lunch and dinner options are the same fare. There is a selection of bread and rolls, prepared salads, and the usual salad bar lettuce and fixings. Peel-and-eat shrimp and a really nice beet salad round out the cold section. The hot bar portion of the buffet has the typical American buffet offerings of meat, carbs, and veg. On the day of our visit, they had broccoli and carrots, baked chicken, white rice, flank steak, smoked ham, a pretty nice crispy tofu with Asian glaze, a very well-done salmon option, and meatballs.
There is a section of the hot buffet line that is aimed at children, but adults with a taste for chicken tenders are welcome, too. The corn dog nuggets and macaroni and cheese have landed on our plates many times and we’ve never been disappointed with either.
You may see in the photo above that there is an allergy-friendly pasta on the buffet line. That may work for those without strong reactivities, but if you have a food allergy, then you don’t need us to tell you that the chances of cross-contamination here are probably in the area of 100%. Just as you would at any dining location, ask to speak with a member of the culinary team if you have food allergy or sensitivity concerns. Your food will obviously take a bit longer since it will have to be prepared separately, but Disney chefs should make sure you have a full, safe plate just like the rest of your party.
Desserts at Hollywood & Vine are the sweets you’ll find at any Disney Character meal. Soft serve, cupcakes, cookies, and a few warm puddings with sweet sauces. The sprinkles and signage may change with the seasons but the stuff on the plate is the same. This isn’t a dig at the presentation or recipes exactly, it’s just that the characters are the point of this high price tag, not the revolutionary food. So let’s talk characters.
Minnie is the host of this event, but she appears with Mickey, Pluto, and Goofy. As you can see from the photo above, they’re dressed in their best Halloween togs from now until November 6th, when they transform into yule pinups. In our extensive experience dining at every single character meal on property so many times that Len had to call a meeting to shut it down, the more excited you are to see the characters and the more engaged you are, the longer they will stay at your table.
We’ve had some lengthy and very silly interactions with the characters at Hollywood & Vine, and this trip was no different. If you’re happy to see them and want hugs and photos, they will be accommodating and make the most of the interaction. This is what you’re paying for after all. You get 1-1 time with the stars of the whole World, and you get to see them in costumes that aren’t accessible to guests anywhere else in the park.
So, if your party is looking for somewhere to have a seated meal and some delightful character time, the reservations for Hollywood & Vine are plentiful. Halloween Dine continues through November 6, 2025, and the rest of the seasonal lineup is below.
