Snack Spotting and Other Dining Enhancements on the Lines App

If you have our Lines app, hopefully you’ve started to notice some updates to the Dining Feature.

What is the Dining Section of the Lines App?

Most Subscribers (Liners) use the app for our Crowd Calendar and Touring Plans, but we want to make sure you know about the updates to the Dining section of our app, too.

From the Dashboard or landing page of the Lines app, select “Dining” on the bottom menu. From there, you’ll be able to scroll every single dining location in all four Walt Disney World parks. Every table service, quick service, bar, popcorn cart, and ice cream stand is listed by park on our app. As you can see from the image above, left, each location tab will show you:

• Location name
• Dining type
• Liner rank & rating – this information comes directly from thousands of trip surveys we receive every year.
• Dining Plan information

Snack Data

One of the dining features we’re most proud of ~ and one of the things we’re working hard to keep up to date~ is the Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit information on every menu in the app. Note the purple “DDP” symbols in the images above and below. Disney places that symbol next to any item that can be redeemed for 1 Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit.

There are lots of small dining locations around Disney World, like the Donkey Cart in the Italy Pavilion of EPCOT or various popcorn or drink carts, that don’t have menus listed on the My Disney Experience app or Disney’s website, but we have them! While our fantastic researchers are in the parks, they’re often snapping photos of physical menus so we can make sure we have the most current information possible.

All Snacks Are Not Worth a DDP Snack Credit

If you plan to purchase the Disney Dining Plan (DDP) for your visit, you’ll probably want to maximize each meal credit on your plan. All of the 2026 and 2027 Dining Plans include 1-Snack Credit per person per night of stay, but all snacks are not the same. For example, a small chocolate milk is $2.59 at quick service locations, but it can also be purchased using 1 DDP Snack Credit. The very scrumptious Churro Shake at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in the Magic Kingdom is $9.29 or 1 DDP Snack Credit, too. We’ll take the Churro Shake anytime!

You can find this information on Disney’s website and the My Disney Experience (MDE) App if there is an online menu and if you know what to look for.

When you’re checked into your Disney Resort, picking a qualifying snack is easy when you’re using Mobile Order. The app will alert you if you’re not maximizing your plan. If, however, you’re trying to research before your trip or you’re looking for a snack at a location without Mobile Order, you’ll need to look for two things on MDE.

1) Note the menu in the image above, left. Anything listed on a menu in MDE (without Mobile Order) under the “Snack” title qualifies as 1 DDP Snack Credit.

2) The images in the above center and right side show the “Qualifies as a Snack” note next to any item that can be purchased using 1 DDP Snack Credit. This is how locations with Mobile Order indicate DDP snack eligibility. The image on the far right is an excellent example of the wide value a DDP Snack Credit can have. The $1.00 Cheese Sauce and the $7.49 Chili-Cheese Fries are one snack credit each.

Our app will show you if a location has mobile order or not, but you’ll find the purple DDP symbol next to qualifying items no matter the location.
