Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Play-Testing Now In Progress
As the Disney Parks Blog reported late on Tuesday, the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive game coming to Walt Disney World in early 2012 is now in play-test mode. Since this announcement, our TouringPlans.com Eyes & Ears news reporting team has taken to the streets, trying to track down these elusive tests. Yesterday, the team spotted one! Check out the video below to see one of the stations in action.
For those unfamiliar with Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, think Kim Possible meets Midship Detective Agency meets Magic the Gathering meets Kingdom Keepers. If you’re unfamiliar with any of those things, here’s an idea of the premise: Disney Guests play the part of “heroes” in a role-playing trading-card game that pits them against Disney Villains attempting to storm the Magic Kingdom. The special cards with which Guests will be armed activate hidden magic symbols that lead them to the villains’ hiding places. From there, Guests engage in a battle royale with the villains, casting spells on them in an attempt to vanquish them from the Magic Kingdom!
Sounds like a good addition that should increase the kinetic energy around Adventureland and Frontierland! What do you think?
