Terrible AI-Generated Disney books on Amazon, Part 3

Here we go again with another round of AI-generated Disney guide books on Amazon. For those of you new to this series: we’re pointing out the terrible advice, hilariously incorrect maps, and general bad writing in these books. Here’s Part 1 and Part 2.

I got this comment from Jillian after the last post:

I love this series, Len. Just for fun, have you checked the Unofficial Guide’s sample text through the Chat GPTZero? Obviously we know it was written by humans so it would be interesting to see the program’s accuracy when something actually is human written.

Great idea! I grabbed the introduction to the 2022 edition, which I wrote. I chose 2022 because it’s the last edition written before ChatGPT came out, so the text could not have been written by transformers. GPTZero says – CORRECTLY! – there’s a 100% chance a human wrote this:

And here’s a section on Disney Resort categories from the 2027 Unofficial Guide, which GPTZero also says was entirely written by a human. In this case, it’s Becky Gandillon, whom I’ve met in person and I’m sure is not a robot:

With that, let’s go through some new, likely AI-generated books we’ve seen recently.

Disneyland Christmas Travel Guide 2026–2027: First-Time Visitor’s Guide to Disneyland Resort in California, Holiday Events, Rides, Food, Itineraries, Hotels & Money-Saving Tips

The book’s map includes Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in with Disneyland’s on-site hotels. In real life that hotel is in Disneyland Paris. And apparently there are two Grand Californian hotels on either side of property now. But the big news is that the Disneyland Forward project involved re-routing I-5 to the west. Hats of to Disneyland for this – Southern California drivers didn’t even notice.

The book also includes this image in the section on Disney California Adventure:

Ma’am, this is a Magic Kingdom.

DISNEY WORLD & DISNEY CRUISE VACATION GUIDE 2027–2028: A First-Timer’s Guide to Disney Ships, Staterooms, Dining, Christmas Cruises, Theme Parks, Castaway Cay, Bahamas, Caribbean & Family Itineraries

Here’s the cover image. I think it’s saying my Disney Cruise is going to be around the Seven Seas Lagoon?

Fingers crossed we get those DCL World Showcase itineraries in 2028.

GPTZero says there’s a 100% chance the sample text was generated by AI:

Walt Disney World Travel Guide 2027: Plan Park Time Around Tickets, Resort Stays, Dining Reservations, Crowd Patterns, Ride Priorities, Transport, and Family Breaks

Here’s the cover. This scene doesn’t exist in real life:

We’ve said before that bad maps are a telltale sign of AI use. This one moves the Grand Floridian and Polynesian a couple miles east, so they’re on Bay Lake instead of the Seven Seas Lagoon. And EPCOT is now where Coronado Springs was:

And like other AI-generated books, there’s a second map that doesn’t match the first. I’m glad to see the Skyliner now runs to the TTC and Disney Springs. Honestly, that didn’t take as long to build as I thought it would:

Here’s a random image of what’s supposed to be the Boardwalk. That’s definitely the Boardwalk in the background. But that boat dock doesn’t exist in real life. And what’s with the families walking four-across toward each other, like some sort of tourist dance-off about to go down?

In the image below, ignore the fact that the TTC doesn’t look like this and focus on the possibility of multi-colored monorails! Why do we have just “Monorail Red” and “Monorail Blue”, when we could have “Monorail Red/Blue”? BE FAIR TO FLORIDA, DISNEY!

WALT DISNEY WORLD TRAVEL GUIDE 2026–2027: Full-Color Edition: Theme Parks, Resorts, Route-Efficient Strategies, Lightning Lane, Dining, Flexible Itineraries & Money-Saving Tips

Here’s the cover image scene, which does not exist in real life:

Here’s the first image inside. I can’t even imagine what Disney would charge for this view.

Here’s one of the book’s map. I love how the monorail connects to the Skyliner somewhere around The Land pavilion. Also, you can pick up the Skyliner at Guardians of the Galaxy? I really need to keep my eyes open the next time I’m in EPCOT.

Bonus fact: The map notes “Mount Everest” in Animal Kingdom, with a height of 0 meters. And that’s funny because Mount Mayday (lower right) is 29 meters tall. Why is Disney not marketing the fact that they have the world’s tallest mountain?

GPTZero gives a 100% chance the introduction was written by AI:

And here’s the back cover. Let’s assume that’s Narcoossee’s on the water’s edge. That would place the fireworks somewhere over the Polynesian’s parking lot.

Amazon Has a Fake 5-Star Review Problem Too (Probably)

Some of these books have 5-star reviews on Amazon that also look really suspicious. This book has nine reviews, all of them 5 stars:

Here they are:

Let me point out that seven of those 5-star reviews were posted on just two days: June 8 and June 17, 2026. It seems almost impossible for an obscure book like this to get seven organic reviews in two days. For reference, I checked the 158 reviews for the 2026 Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, which has sold many tens of thousands of copies. I didn’t find a date with more than two reviews. This book getting seven in two days seems unusual.

This book’s reviews are similar in many ways: 5-star feedback, with comments that are one or two sentences long. Nobody mentions any specific piece of advice. Some entire reviews, like the one from Rocky Cameron, are so generic that they could be talking about any guidebook.

For me, the sign that these reviews are fake can be found by clicking on each reviewer’s name to see what else they’ve reviewed. And that’s where it gets sus, as the kids say. Most of these reviewers have exactly one other review, and they’re all for school study guides.

Reviewer Kristian Ball has reviewed exactly one other book, a high school student’s study guide:

And coincidentally(!), reviewer Riley Saunders has also rated just one other book, a study guide for 5th grade math:

Reviewer Lane Daughtery has – can you believe it! – left one other review, for a math study guide for grade-school kids:

Reviewer Valeria Rangel has reviewed one other book, also for 5th-grade math:

Finally, reviewer Rosa lieNeal [sic] has left one other review, and it’s 5 stars for the same book reviewed by Kristian Ball above:

Maybe those math books can tell us the odds that all these people are part of some Disney/tutoring book club that meets twice a month. I’m guessing the chances are pretty close to 0%. At the very least, this points to sponsored reviews and Amazon needs to disclose that.

The Independent 2027–2028 Walt Disney World Travel Guide: Park Planning, Ride Strategies, Dining Tips, Family Itineraries, Lightning Lane Secrets & Money-Saving Advice

A book released in 2026 that covers 2028? Astounding! Bonus points for using the words “Unofficial Guide” on the cover, with an image of the Magic Kingdom that does not exist in real life. Seriously, why does AI think the castle is at the water’s edge?

The book preview includes this image of “a family arriving for a day at the parks”. No part of Walt Disney World looks like this: Also, there must be something built into AI model weights that makes these images all include one boy, one girl, and a dad with a beard, wearing a blue shirt. Similar images pop up in lots of other AI-generated books I’ve seen.

GPTZero says there’s a 100% chance this sample text was written by AI:

Orlando & Walt Disney World Travel Guide 2026.: The Ultimate Family-Friendly Guide to Hidden Gems, Must-See Attractions, and World-Famous Theme Parks

The cover image does not exist in real life. But we’ve got a “blue shirt dad” sighting, so that’s something:

The book sample includes this photo of what’s supposed to be EPCOT, I guess? I mean, sure, it says “INNOVENTIONS”, which closed in 2019. What I want to know is why that kid’s looking at a screen 3 feet away using an enormous pair of binoculars:

Also: “blue shirt dad.” As someone clearly on the spectrum, I’m all for monochromatic wardrobes that make it easier to get ready in the morning. My sartorial choices can be summed up as “adult Garanimals“, and I’m okay with that.

We’ve said before that AI-generated images often have trouble reproducing text. This is a classic example from the book:

Ignore the “Genie+” thing. Here are the attraction names:

  • Hagic Kingdom
  • Haunteed Mansion
  • Splased Mountain
  • Splash Mountain [yes, again]
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Jungle Cruise [again, but in a different font]
  • Gercen Pe

It’s too bad the “Gercen Pe” attraction isn’t available. I was looking forward to it.

That’s a wrap for this blog post. Let me know in the comments below if you see any other AI-generated Disney books you’d like to highlight here. Thanks for reading!
