The Longest & Shortest Lightning Lane Waits in Each Park

We pulled Lightning Lane wait time data for the last 12-months to find out which two attractions in each park had the longest & shortest wait times. We used the following parameters for this post:

• Lightning Lane Single or Multi Pass only
• No standby waits included
• No Single Rider waits included
• Data over the last 12-months

The Longest Lightning Lane Wait Times Over the Last 12-Months

Magic Kingdom: 

• Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP) attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 14 minutes 
• TRON is a Lightning Lane Single Pass (LLSP) attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 14 minutes 

EPCOT 

• Test Track is a Tier 1 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 19 minutes 
• Guardian’s of the Galaxy is a LLSP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 19 minutes 

Hollywood Studios

• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a Tier 1 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 19 minutes
• Toy Story Mania is a Tier 2 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 14 minutes 

Animal Kingdom 

• Kali River Rapids*
  • Average LL wait time: 17 minutes 
• Flight of Passage is a LLSP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 16 minutes

*Animal Kingdom does not have multiple tiers for Lightning Lane Multi Pass

The Shortest Lightning Lane Wait Times Over the Last 12-Months

Magic Kingdom 

• Tomorrowland Speedway is a Tier 2 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 8 minutes 
• The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a Tier 2 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 8 minutes

EPCOT 

• Spaceship Earth is a Tier 2 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 3 minutes 
• Journey Into Imagination with Figment is a Tier 2 LLSP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 3 minutes

Hollywood Studios

• Slinky Dog Dash is a Tier 1 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 10 minutes
• Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a Tier 1 LLMP attraction
  • Average LL wait time: 11 minutes 

Animal Kingdom

• Na’vi River Journey
  • Average LL wait time: 5 minutes 
• Kilimanjaro Safaris
  • Average LL wait time: 9 minutes 

How Do We Know the Average Waits?

We have 12-months of actual Lightning Lane wait time data because of our wonderful Subscribers, or Liners. We receive tens of thousands of actual wait times from our Liner community each year through the TouringPlans Lines app. The screenshot above shows the 3 easy steps for timing an actual wait.

1. Select the green “Time your wait” button under the attraction you’re visiting
2. Select Standby Line or Lightning Lane and the blue “Start Timer” button when you’re in line and have stopped walking in the queue for the first time. If you hop in line for Toy Story Mania and don’t have to stop walking until just before Mr. Potato Head, you would start the timer then.
3. Stop the timer or “Submit Wait” when you are boarding the ride vehicle. For example, you’d keep the timer running during the stretching room in the Haunted Mansion. You’d stop the timer and submit your wait when you’re ready to board your Doom Buggy.
