The Month Ahead: December 2025
December is a busy month for everyone! Check out some of the things we’ll be doing as we march toward the end of the year.

We’ve been testing Early Entry in the Magic Kingdom and will head back to Hollywood Studios this month to do the same. We’re looking to see how often Rise is down at rope drop and if the downtime is communicated before you round the bend on your way to Galaxy’s Edge. We’ll also be hoofing it to Slinky Dog Dash to get actual early entry rope drop times. As always, we’ll provide transportation and main gate time stamps. Let us know if you have a specific Touring Plan you’d like to see tested and we’ll get that done, too.

TouringPlans staff will be on two Disney cruises this month. The first is a 4-Night Bahamian Cruise on the newest vessel in the fleet, the Disney Destiny. The second is a 4-Night Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruise on the Disney Wish. Stay tuned for our coverage of both. This is a good time to remind our readers that not a penny of either cruise is paid for or sponsored by Disney. We’re paying for it all so you can count on honest reviews – good or bad!

Have you heard of the 119 minute “grace period” for Lightning Lanes? This feature is currently only accessible under Advanced Options for Plans created on our website, but the same functionality is coming to our app. The Lines app will receive an update that will allow users to set custom Lightning Lane Grace Periods in a Touring Plan. You can read all about this new feature here.

The submission deadline for the 2025 TouringPlans Gingerbread Snapdown is Friday, December 5, 2025. Winners will be announced on our Instagram stories on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Trophies, medals, and prizes will be mailed out the week of December 8, 2025.

We’re headed back to Epic Universe this month to collect more rope drop info and actual wait times for attractions. Our main focus lately has been on the “open” early entry to Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. You can read here about how we wait 254 minutes so you don’t have to.
