Disney Treasure Floats Into Her First Harbor
It wasn’t a long trip, but the Treasure was floated into the shipyard harbor at Meyer Werft Shipyard in Papenburg, Germany earlier this week. The move was made possible by the completion of the ship’s exterior. While she’s not ready for her December maiden voyage yet, the final efforts on completion are clearly running full steam ahead.
New Halloween Costumes for the Mice at Not-So-Scary
The very first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was last night, and earlier this week Disney released a look at Mickey & Minnie’s new costumes. We’ll update our strategy guide ASAP and keep an eye on our socials for our own pics of these costumes – just as soon as we get done sorting through our photos from the event.
We’re Ready to Hear About Turbocharging
In just a few hours from now, at 10 pm ET, it will be time for the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products panel at D23. If you’re not in the D23 know, this is where we’ll hear about what’s planned and in progress for the Parks, Cruise Lines, and other experience segments of Disney. We’ve been hearing about 17 billion in investment to “turbocharge” the parks for quite a while now, and we to hear where some of that money is going.
Most years we’d have a link to a live stream by now, but this year Disney is playing it close to the chest. Some part of the panel will be streamed on Fortnite (https://x.com/DisneyD23/status/1821622790581318024) but that’s all we know. We hope there’s a live stream link still to come.
Headline News Recap
Everyone at Disney’s playing it close to the chest this week as we wait for stuff to come out at D23. Why are Universal and the rest of everyone else having a sluggish week? Well, I can’t explain that. Tune in here tomorrow though – we’ll have all the surprises (and not surprises) from tonight’s Parks & Experiences Panel.
That’s it for this week’s Travel Beat. What news are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments!
