Universal Orlando Crowd Calendar Update For April 2021
Locals are still heading to Universal Orlando Parks at record numbers even though the spring break and Easter season is over. So, a short Universal Crowd Calendar update is needed.
Universal Studios
Universal Studios continues to be the busier park with crowd level ’10’s nearly every day. It is April and this year has already seen more crowd level ’10’s than we usually see by the end of the year. Crowd Levels at Universal Studios are going up a point or two most days between now and the end of June.
Islands of Adventure
Islands of Adventure isn’t lagging far behind with mostly ‘7’s and ‘8’s and the occasional ‘4’ or ‘5’. There are no major holidays on the calendar until Memorial Day at the end of May so we expect crowd levels at IOA to remain in that range. Our pattern lately is to underestimate crowd levels so most of the updates for this park are increases of a point or two, although not as much as Universal Studios.
Impact of Disney Park Reservations
It is likely that Universal Orlando Resort is benefitting from limited park ticket availability at Disney parks. We may not see Universal return to historical crowd levels until Disney parks increase their park capacity.
Have any questions about the Crowd Calendar update? Let us know in the comments.
It looks like something still isn’t working right. Even with no Express Pass, TP in June is showing very low wait times including 0 minutes for VelociCoaster.
Thanks for pointing this out Matt – I have corrected the issue (I think) and I expect new forecasts for VelociCoaster to be loaded shortly.
In your touring plan it is likely that the adjustments have already been made. The attraction wait times are always adjusted before the crowd calendar numbers.
Have times in touring plans been updated? I clicked “Evaluate” on mine and they still show the same times as before. Thanks!
