What is a scare zone? Do they operate during the day? Should I avoid them?

What lurks in the dark fog at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights? Scare Zones are themed areas located around Universal Studios Florida during Halloween Horror Nights. These spaces set the mood for the event with scare actors patrolling for their next victim, special effects, large set pieces, theatrical lighting, and lots and lots of theatrical fog. Scare Zones only operate during Halloween Horror Nights and gory props are either covered during the day or brought out from backstage for the event. Scare Zones are located in the entrance area to Universal Studios Florida, New York in front of Revenge of the Mummy, Hollywood, Central Park, and the exit to Fast & Furious Supercharged.
