Update: Cinderella Castle Repaint Photos

The repainting of Cinderella Castle continues! We stopped by the Magic Kingdom yesterday to check out the progress.

Cinderella Castle repainting progress.

You can now see the repainting from the front of the castle. Note the gray turret on the right in the photo above.

The castle moat has been fully drained and muck and the various lost items have been removed. Check out our last post on the repaint project to see how much progress has been made in just a week!

The Magic Kingdom welcome show, Let the Magic Begin, has been modified while the castle is undergoing this transformation. You’ll still be able to hear the standard welcome message about 5 minute prior to the regular entry start time, but characters will not make an appearance. Mickey, Minnie, and pals are expected to return when the castle work is done and the stars can be photographed with a new, beautiful backdrop.

Oh, good lord. It’s like the concept of “subtle” has been lost in Imagineering.
At least that Birthday Cake Castle was temporary.

Dean, we are at odds. 😉 They could double my AP price if they would only bring back the birthday cake! Haha! I understand I’m in the minority. My only hope is this new color scheme is because they’re planning on brining back Wishes and they don’t need the projections. One can dream. -Chrissy
