Update: The Crowd Calendar For Non-Subscribers

In a few days you will notice a change in the way the Crowd Calendar is displayed to users who do not have a premium subscription. Currently, we show the next thirty days of crowd calendar predictions free to all users of the site.

In order to provide the best value to our premium subscribers, we’re changing the way the calendar is displayed. With this change, all users of the site will see crowd calendar predictions 31 to 60 days out instead of the next 30 days.  Doing this allows us to provide a useful sample of our crowd prediction methodology to new folks, while still valuing our premium subscription members.

A premium subscription of TouringPlans.com gives you 365 day access to our crowd calendar, the crowd calendar predictions per park, our mobile wait times application Lines, more than a hundred touring plans, and more! If you have any questions or concerns please contact the TouringPlans.com team.

As always, thank you for your constant support!

  • You have GOT to see Dennis VanDerGinst as The Scarecrow. If ever a vid needed to be viral, that is it.

  • So now folks need to look 30-60 days out, instead of 1-30 days. big whoop. I understand the reason, but poorly implemented. Its like a 5-second delay dump on radio. for the next 30 days, the non subscribers will be lost, until they all catch on to look 30-60 days out instead of 1-30.

I think this plays into their hands better, as MOST folks plan their vacations out longer than 30 days. airlines usually have the best rates at least 7 days out. Some folks need at least a week or two to ask for leave, school, etc. So now pushing the freebie further out, folks can now plan a bit better. The 1-30 days was used mainly by locals or folks with reservations already.

    • That’s a good point Joe. We want to provide a service to both our subcribers and non-subscribers but we need to make sure that the advantage we give to our subscribers is worth it. We see the subscription cost as fairly low considering what you get.

  • Love the crowd calendar, it was my “guiding light” for the days-of-the-week-planning. which leads to ADR’s and all kinds of off shoots.

I think it’s great to extend the free preview, i subscribed because I needed further out to plan…and the Good Bood discount, but for last minute-ers it might really help!

My only request would be to add any inside info. I use All ears and the podcasts to dictate times of year in addition to the CC, but I would love a little disclaimer out from certain dates, such as:
Pop warner* beware, or Healthy people running, they might eat all your steak, so get there early.

I’m all for one stop shopping! Here’s hoping Touring plans is super walmart of Disney!!
