Super Bowl MVP “Going to Disney World” on Monday, February 6

You know the commercial: the MVP of the NFL’s Super Bowl stands victorious on the field and proclaims, “I’m going to Disney World!” Well, the truth is that he really is going.

On Monday, February 6, 2012, the MVP will be given a special parade procession in the Magic Kingdom. The parade is currently scheduled for 1:20pm and is expected to travel up Main Street and through Liberty Square, presumably ending in Frontierland.

We do not expect this short event to impact the Magic Kingdom wait times considerably, but be aware that foot traffic in and around the parade route is likely to be heavier than normal. You will also want to keep an eye on the schedule if you plan to be at the Magic Kingdom because the time of this parade is often adjusted based on the schedule of the MVP.

  • I wonder what would happen if the Super Bowl MVP said “I’m going to Disneyland” instead of Disney World.

  • I wouldn’t be on this site if I wasn’t a fan of the parks. However, in the 80s when Wayne Gretzky was approached to do this ad, he turned them down on the basis that he would rather spend the time after winning the Cup celebrating with his team than thinking about commercial endorsements. Gotta say, the more time that passes, the more refreshing and appealing that stance becomes to me.
