Universal Orlando Construction Update: CityWalk Starbucks and Cold Stone Unveiled

It’s amazing what a difference a few hours makes at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk complex these days. Just a few short weeks ago we were reporting on the opening of Antojitos Authentic Mexican restaurant, which has already seen some menu tweaks along with long waits for tables on weekend nights. Now, we’re happy to bring you the first photos of the facades for the new CityWalk Starbucks Coffee and Cold Stone ice cream shop, which were hidden behind construction walls until the first of March.

This is what the area under the CityWalk escalators, which originally held the Endangered Species store, looked like on the last day of February as guests exited Universal Orlando’s parks:

Now, here is the front of the new CityWalk Starbucks and Cold Stone, as revealed hours later on Saturday:

The new eateries could open any day now, and we’ll bring you menus and photos from inside as soon as they do.

As a bonus, here’s a look at some unpublicized expansion surgery being performed upon the “Porch of Indecision” at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville:
