DAY FIVE: Morimoto Imperial Pilsner at Morimoto Asia (Disney Springs)

One of the most recent additions to Disney Springs, Morimoto Asia is already a hit. The decor and theming of the restaurant is gorgeous. 20 foot chandeliers that almost appear to be floating jellyfish, open kitchens allowing guests to see chefs during the preparation process (such as the Peking duck carving), and the overall modern-yet-classic feel make the dining experience a pleasure. There are two bars at Morimoto Asia (one on each floor) offering a wide variety of choices but what drew our attention was the Morimoto Imperial Pilsner and its incredible souvenir bottle.

The Imperial Pilsner is $25 a bottle, equivalent to approximately 100 cans of PBR, but you are actually getting a good bang for your buck. The bottle itself is impressive, has a lot of weight to it, and holds 25.4 ounces of beer (which is approximately equal to the amount of 50 pours of beer at the Food & Wine Festival). The beer itself is fantastic. Back of bottle reads: “5 Ingredients: Pilsner & aciduated malts, Rogue Farms independent hops, free range coastal water & Czech pils yeast. No chemicals, preservatives, or additives.” Highly recommended.

Be sure to make Morimoto Asia one of your dining experiences on your next trip to WDW. Whether stopping in for drinks, lunch, or dinner, you are going to be pleasantly surprised. The service and presentation of the food and drinks is among the best on property. The spare ribs are mouth watering good and you can’t leave without trying the Chocolate Cream &  Crunchies dessert which features Oreo tempura. That’s right, Oreo tempura. He’s been at WDW for less than a month and Chef Morimoto has already earned a window on Main Street USA in our opinion.
