If you are planning a Disneyland Resort trip during the holidays, you are in for a magical experience. This year, the holiday season will take place from November 10 through January 7 and will include some great fan favorites, once again.

At Disneyland, Guests will be able to enjoy seasonal favorites, including Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle and “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks, complete with snowfall. Guests will also find the soaring Christmas tree in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A.

You also won’t want to miss the“A Christmas Fantasy” parade, a daily procession with floats, music, marching soldiers and holiday cheer. Oh and Santa will be there too! Want to meet him? He’ll be found welcoming guests at a special location in Critter Country. Disneyland also will have its traditional holiday overlays at both “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday (which opens on September 15).

At Disney California Adventure, the Festival of Holidays will again bring the spirit of the season through delicious food and special entertainment. this includes the return of Disney ¡Viva Navidad! which is a celebration that presents a mix of holiday comfort dishes.  Guests will enter the park and be able to see a dazzling, 50-foot Christmas tree that adorns Carthay Circle along Buena Vista Street. The tree and surrounding buildings will be decorated with vintage-style ornaments. In addition, Santa Claus will appear at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, where guests of all ages will join the festive fun with a series of holiday-themed activities along the trail.

Of course, Cars Land gets in on the festivities with holiday decorations like the “Snowcar” that greets guests on the road to Radiator Springs. In addition, the residents will show their holiday spirit with holiday makeovers that reflect the personality of its Cars resident. Now, I don’t want to bug you about it, but you should also make sure to check out “a bug’s land” as it transforms for the holidays, too. Here, Flik and his bug friends deck their land with oversized lights and ornaments.

Each night, Guests will be able to enjoy “World of Color – Season of Light”. This show is a winter fantasy that combines classic holiday songs with memorable moments from Disney animated films.

Finally, at the Downtown Disney district and the Disneyland Resort Hotels will join in the holiday festivities with twinkling lights and ornaments, holiday displays, special entertainment and holiday dining with themed menus.

Stay tuned to the blog as we learn more great details about what to expect this holiday season at the Disneyland Resort.
