New Keychains Feature Park Icons

We’re seeing a new series of keychains appearing at Walt Disney World. Made of leather and fabric, they look like those fun looped rug kits we did at camp, but, you know not covered in popsicle stains. Seriously, these are adorable and would make a great accent for a purse or backpack, as well as serving as a keychain. These are priced at $12.99.

So far we’ve seen iconic food items represented, as well as a castle version and a teacup. We expect that others may appear as well. Which would you choose?

  • We’re always trying new things to meet the needs of our readers, and we have lots of folks who ask for information on new merchandise and fun snacks. But we also continue to provide the same data-driven, in-depth content that we always have. In the past week, we’ve provided information about the best dates to visit MNSSHP, a lab analysis of calorie content in a Disney cupcake, photo tours of a brand-new resort, a detailed review of a new restaurant, a look at the best value meals at the Animal Kingdom, advice on how Florida residents can find the best theme park ticket prices, and more, in addition to covering the latest in food and merchandise around the Disney parks. Thank you so much for your feedback, and we’ll look at ways to strive to find the right balance for all of our users with informative content and up-to-date news. In the meantime, if you have particular types of articles that you’d like to see, we’d love to hear from you either here in the comments or by sending an email to blog@touringplans.com.

  • Quantity does not equal quality. I feel that Touring Plans has been all about the quantity lately with the blog and I’ve had to unfollow. It’s basically spam at this point. This specific post is a great example, do you really need a single post about key chains? This is definitely one of the reasons I did not renew my subscription, Touring Plans is not providing quality information in support of my trips to WDW and Disneyland.

    • I’m a paid subscriber to Touring Plans, and of course not every blog post interests me. For example, I’m not a Florida resident, I don’t attend MNSSHP or MVMCP, and I don’t eat at high priced restaurants. So I just skip blog posts about those subjects. But plenty of subscribers do want to read about those topics, and I’m sure they skip some of the posts that I like. As the saying goes, you cant please all the people all the time. Touring Plans does a good job of writing on a variety of topics that cover something interesting for everyone. If a subject doesn’t interest you, just skip it, and let the people who want to know more about it read it. No sweat.
