Epcot Construction Update Mid-August 2019

Modifications to the front entrance of Epcot are continuing apace, with steady progress being made both inside and outside the park gates.

Inside the gates, construction walls have been erected around the second section of Leave a Legacy monoliths, in preparation for their removal. If the rate of demolition on this side matches that of the previous removal effort, the monoliths should be fully gone within about three weeks. The exterior of the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster building (blue and green) is visible beyond the monoliths.

Walkway expansion is happening on the right side of Future World.

Immediately outside the Epcot park gates, they’re making progress on a new security station to improve traffic flow. The platform at the left of the photos is the Epcot monorail boarding area.
