Anaheim Ducks Day Returns to Disneyland Resort
Quack! Quack! Quack! It’s coming back once again! A celebration of the hockey team, the Anaheim Ducks! On January 8, Anaheim Ducks Day will once again return to Disney California Adventure. Guests will get to celebrate the day and take part in special hockey activities, photo opportunities and memorable experiences.
This year as part of the event, both Disney and the Ducks will highlight contributions to the community including educational and environmental programs, as well as a partnership with three local nonprofit organizations (Cops 4 Kids, Pure Game, GOALS) who will take part in the special day.
For those who didn’t know, the Anaheim Ducks were founded back in 1993 by The Walt Disney Company and was originally known as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Know why that sounds familiar? That’s because the team was named based off the classic 1992 film, “The Mighty Ducks.” (Say hello to it on Disney+ if you haven’t seen it.) The name changed after the 2006-2007 season.
Stay tuned to the blog for more information about how this special day will be celebrated.
