Disney in a Minute: What is a Kidcot Fun Stop?

A Kidcot Fun Stop is an interactive activity for – you guessed it – kids in EPCOT! You’ll find eleven different stops, one located in each of the eleven pavilions in the World Showcase. Every stop offers a hands-on way to learn about the cultures, languages, and customs of the different countries. And Kidcot Fun Stops are open the same hours as the World Showcase, so you can always take advantage of them.

In this free activity, kids collect a postcard at each stop. The cards are themed to the country and share facts about that nation. The reverse of the cards has a picture of Disney characters doing an activity in that country. Markers are provided so the card can be colored on the spot.

The Cast Member at the Kidcot Fun Stop can also share fun facts about their country, offer a sticker, and may even write the name of your child in their native language. Some are also happy to teach simple phrases to the littles. While it’s not necessary to make a full tour of it, if you do happen to visit all eleven pavilions and collect a card from each, you can receive a bonus postcard from Mickey at any of the Kidcot Fun Stops.

The great thing about Kidcot Fun Stops is that they’re not just fun. They offer the chance to learn, encourage your child’s curiosity, and hopefully foster a sense of appreciation for other cultures. They also give kids a way to actively engage in the pavilions, not just walk through them. And you don’t need to wait in a line!

When EPCOT opened in 1982, the goal was to combine entertainment with education. KIDCOT Fun Stops are one way that the mission is still carried out today.
