Disneyland Red Rose Taverne Breakfast Review

Red Rose Taverne is a quick service restaurant located in Fantasyland at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. During the day this Beauty and the Beast-themed eatery serves burgers and flatbreads, but in this review we’ll be taking a look at the location’s breakfast menu.

First up is a longtime Disneyland classic, the Mickey-shaped Pancake. This fan favorite entree has changed dining locations several times over the decades, but is now served exclusively at Red Rose Taverne for $9.49.

Here’s the pancake without the included sausage (you can ask for bacon or a hash brown if you’re not into sausage). The Mickey Pancake has changed a bit over the years. Previously renditions included a pineapple mouth, blueberry eyes, and a cherry nose.  I improvised and made my own Mickey face using the included sausage and syrup. Hopefully you don’t see this face in your dreams tonight.

In recent years the pancake has been slightly upgraded to be more thick. If there’s one thing we like here at TouringPlans, it’s thick pancakes.

A Breakfast Fantasyland Faire Fold is also available for $12.99. It includes a flour tortilla filled with cheese, a hash Brown, egg, bacon, sausage and creamy aïoli. This is a tasty and hearty breakfast, and is easily my favorite breakfast item in the park.

They don’t skimp on the ingredients in the Fantasyland Faire Fold. This thing is packed.

The breakfast menu at Red Rose Taverne is limited, but both items pack a punch. It’s debatable if you should even waste time sitting down for a breakfast and use precious morning touring hours when the wait times are at their lowest, but the Fantasyland Faire Fold is portable and can easily be eaten on the go. Also, there’s just something about a Mickey-shaped pancake that feels so perfectly Disneyland to me. That’s probably why it’s a timeless classic that has endured for decades.
