Character Changes & Closures at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The crater hasn’t even cooled and we’re moving on to new news about Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The closure of DinoLand a few days ago left a hole in our hearts and some characters without a home. The happy news is that Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale have found new places to meet pals – even if they won’t be seen in those precious DinoLand costumes.
In addition to rehousing the displaced stars of extinction, Disney has announced temporary closure dates for Rafiki’s Planet Watch to make room for Bluey & Bingo this summer. Scroll on to see what attractions are affected.

We’re happy to note that the new character meets start before you even tap in to Animal Kingdom.

You can meet Chip & Dale at the Oasis, Palm Courtyard on the right just beyond security and before you get to the main gate.

You can find Donald and Daisy on the path to the Tree of Life on the right just beyond the main entrance. This is the spot where DiVine can often be found wowing guests. If you’re up for a character meal, you can also find Donald and Daisy at Tusker House in Africa.
Make Room for Bluey!

Rafiki’s Planet Watch will close temporarily on February 23rd for the addition of a Bluey and Bingo meet and greet at Conservation Station this summer. Click here for a full list of changes coming to Walt Disney World this year.
The full list of attractions impacted by the temporary closure of Rafiki’s Planet Watch:
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station – This experience provides information about the history of Disney animation and gives guests a chance to draw some of their favorite Disney characters. There are typically 10 25-minute shows each day.
Affection Section- This is the only petting zoo in Walt Disney World. Goats, pigs, and a menagerie of other domesticated besties. The braying of the resident donkey is always a treat.
The Wildlife Express Train – This is the train that takes guests to and from Rafiki’s Planet Watch. The 1.2 mile trip takes about 7 minutes in an open air train and is currently the only mode of transportation between Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Africa.
Animal Expert Interactions – Treatment Rooms, Nutrition Centers, Science Center, and Amphibian, Reptile, and Invertebrate Windows.
