Airport Luggage Delivery to Your Hotel Is Returning to Disney World

In April 2025, getting your bags to the airport got a lot easier for some Disney World guests. Just in time for your Thanksgiving trip, the popular partner service that sent your bags from the airport directly to your resort is also making a comeback! Right now, the service is limited to domestic Southwest Airlines passengers staying at participating Disney World resorts and flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO). This is a similar limitation to the current Airport Luggage Transfer service.

The service, provided by BagCheck, begins on November 18, 2025, and eligible guests are being notified directly by email. So if you’re arriving on Southwest on or after November 18, check your spam folder. Text of the Guest Email Invitation includes a registration link and the following:

This convenient service lets you skip baggage claim and have your checked luggage delivered directly to your Disney Resort hotel. The service will begin operating for flights arriving November 18, 2025 or later. If you’d like to take advantage of the service, your registration window opens 30 days prior to departure and closes 5 days prior to departure.

The existing Airport Luggage Transfer is not only limited to Southwest Airlines fliers, but also to guests at Value Resorts. This new checked-bag delivery service is also limited to Southwest arrivals on domestic flights, and to guests at Value Resorts:

  • All-Star Movies
  • All-Star Sports
  • All-Star Music
  • Pop Century
  • Art of Animation

The service is very similar to the pre-pandemic version; here’s how it works:

  • Fill out the registration form anytime from 30 days to 5 days before your departure flight.
    • You’ll need your Disney Resort confirmation number and your Southwest Airlines confirmation number to register, and you’ll receive a confirmation email after.
    • If you’ve booked your Disney vacation with a travel agent, they will be able to provide your Disney hotel reservation number.
  • Check in to your flight online as normal and pay any necessary baggage fees.
  • Head to the airport and follow the Southwest Airlines procedure to drop off your luggage.
    • Checked bags must conform to Southwest Airlines’ policies for size and weight.
  • Upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and head directly to your resort.
    • Your luggage will arrive at your hotel within 4 hours.
    • You can also check the status of your luggage after drop-off through the link in the confirmation email you received after registration.

You should expect to receive luggage tags to attach to your bags; if you haven’t received them within 72 hours, call BagCheck at 407-505-7443. You’ll label your luggage for the service by attaching the special luggage tags. However, items checked at the gate do not require the luggage tags – and if you’ve registered for the service, they will still be delivered to your hotel unless you specifically request to collect them at the airport. So if you’re checking a stroller, car seat, or the like, make sure to tell the gate agent that you will collect them yourself in Orlando.

Disney also confirms that you don’t need to use the Airport Luggage Transfer service both ways; you can use it only for arrival, for departure, or for both. While arrivals require advance registration, to use the service when departing from Disney World, you just need to visit Luggage Assistance at your resort hotel.

As always, high-risk items that might be an issue if luggage is lost or delayed should be kept in your carry-on. That includes:

  • Medications
  • Electronics
  • Perishable or heat-sensitive items
  • Important documents such as passports or necessary travel information

Disney has also provided some answers to questions about what to do in the case of last-minute changes or delays during your flight. If your hotel reservation or flight number changes after registration and you are no longer staying at an eligible hotel or flying with Southwest, you won’t be eligible for the service. If your flight confirmation or hotel reservation number is the same, you don’t need to do anything. Otherwise:

  • If your Disney resort hotel reservation number changes, email BagCheck at bcsupport@bagcheck.com, or call 407-505-7443 betweeen 7 am and 11:30 pm Eastern Time.
  • If your Southwest Airlines confirmation number changes, you will need to modify your registration with the new number.

Finally, guests arriving quite late may not wish to wait for their luggage. If your flight is delayed and you arrive after 11 pm, you’ll have the option to pick up your luggage at MCO luggage claim, or you can stick with the original plan and wait for BagCheck to deliver it within 4 hours of your arrival.

As with Airport Luggage Transfer, we still expect this to expand to additional airlines and resorts. But given the extensive gap between the April debut of luggage transfer and any further expansion, it seems clear that Disney is slow-walking these rollouts for now.

I just signed up for the inbound serve today. I am traveling 12/1 and staying at Pop Century. You just have to provide hotel and flight confirmation information. The bag service apparently has access to your info through those numbers as they filled in the blank on some info. They will send bag tags to your home address and you check your bags in as usual for your flight to Orlando. Crossing my fingers there are no hiccups.

Thanks Cassie! Sounds like some of the tech has gotten more sophisticated since 2020, but interesting to know that they are still sending the special tags to your house. I’m guessing that might be the reason for the 5-day cutoff on registration.

Are there the usual Southwest baggage fees and how many bags per person are permitted. If fees, when are the fees collected.

Hi Jeff, we don’t have a lot of info right now, but I would assume that the fees and baggage restrictions are as usual. This is just about what happens to your bags when they get off the plane in Orlando, not about what happens when you check them at the beginning of your flight.

Did you actually mean November 18 2026 and not 2025

      I did, thanks. Fixed!
