Be Our Guest Lunch Review + Video

After reviewing breakfast at Be Our Guest, a beautiful restaurant located in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom park, I had several requests to check out lunch. In early July, I finally had the chance to do so!

Since I ate breakfast in the Ballroom, I decided to change things up by eating lunch in the West Wing. Little did I realize that it gets a little dark and stormy in there, not to mention…loud! I did what I could to adjust the footage, but you’ll definitely notice some thunder and lightning!

Now, on to the review!

  • I must say while the food was good, lunch at Be Our Guest reminded me of having a meal in a rowdy school cafeteria. It seemed totally at odds with the beautiful theming and surroundings. We DID enjoy dinner a few years ago very much, and look forward to going back to the prix fixe menu!

    • Philip,

I agree in the sense that it is very LOUD in the restaurant. You can definitely tell in both video reviews I’ve done. Though I haven’t tried dinner, I’m also looking forward to trying the prix fixe menu!

      Thanks for watching 🙂

  • We were looking forward for our dinner reservations. We were 4 adults & 3 children ages 7,9, & 11. The food come cold we sent all the food back twice. Then we gave up! The food wasn’t even anything special. Make reservations at Cinderella’s Castle which we enjoyed from the beginning to the end in every way!!

    • Marlene,

How disappointing for you. I am personally looking forward to trying out the new prix fixe menu once it debuts in late July. Maybe you’ll have better luck with it!

  • Thanks for reviewing lunch, Angela! What time was your lunch reservation for and approximately how long did your meal take from the time you got in line until you finished? My daughter and I will be enjoying lunch at BOG next month. I imagine we will order ahead of time, but I was curious how long it took when you ordered at the restaurant. Thanks!

    • Heather,

I looked at my footage time stamps, so this is rough time estimate for you.

My reservation was for 11:55am, but I checked in at 11:50 (we could only check in five minutes early). I think we were brought inside about 5 minutes later.

We got to a kiosk to order around 12:10pm (which took several minutes as there were four of us and we paid separately). One friend got her food around 12:20, and all of our food arrived by 12:25pm.

I would definitely suggest ordering ahead of time as there’s no need to wait in line if you can help it. I just wanted to show you all a different perspective on camera.

Thanks for the question! – Angela

  • We were able to eat at Be Our Guest for the first time during our visit last month. We waited for about 15 minutes for the food for our party of eight. The french dip sandwich was one of the best I’ve had, but its the atmosphere in this restaurant that really made it such an enjoyable experience for us!

    • Eric,

The atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. It’s like stepping right into the film! I’m so glad you (and your party) had quick service and enjoyed your meal. With all the good things I’ve heard about the French Dip, I definitely need to try it the next time I have lunch there!

      Thanks for watching. 🙂

  • Thanks Angela – all of your video are great! I had the French Dip sandwich when I was there last month and it was outstanding!

    • Thanks Joe!

I looked at the French Dip but ultimately decided on the Pork. I’m a sucker for a good roast.
