Important Notes:
- Guests must be 3 years of age and older to participate in this tour.
- Guests may remain in their wheelchair, motorized scooter, or ECV throughout this experience.
- Every tour guest will need to sign a waiver at check-in. Waivers used to be on paper but are now completed using Docusign. Paper waivers are no longer an option.

Once you’re checked in and your waiver is signed, your Cast Member guide will hand out listening devices. Since you’ll be walking through the running attraction, the ear piece will help you hear your guide over the water, machinery, and Living with the Land audio.
You’ll walk through the back entrance of the greenhouse and be blasted with forced air to clear your person of any pests.

Guests have a chance to inspect the Biotechnology Labs that Living with the Land boats sail past. These are plant tissue samples under the pink light.

The most important rule on any greenhouse tour is no touching! You’ll have ample opportunity to take pictures and video, just don’t touch any of the equipment or plant life.

These vertical growers were invented by a Florida strawberry farmer.

The exposed roots of the plants slowly rotate through this water conveyor belt.

Your Cast Member guide is an expert on the greenhouse, so feel free to ask questions as you go. We learned so many interesting things on our tour:
- Many of the flowers, fruits and vegetables grown here are used in Disney World restaurants, EPCOT festivals, and catering around the resorts.
- The greenhouse circulates a list of “excess” items for restaurants to utilize.
- The cucumbers grown here are used on the GEO-82 charcuterie board and the salads at Tiffin’s.
- 30,000 lbs of produce is produced here each year!
- 10,000 lbs of that is just cucumbers
- Coffee beans are grown in the greenhouse and it takes 80 beans to get 8 ounces of coffee

- The shrimp in the fish farm are not eaten, they are used as educational props
- The tilapia, however, are eaten at restaurants on property.

One of our favorite parts of this tour is the sniff test! Your tour guide will challenge the group to identify the spices contained in the numbered jars shown above. They’ll provide interesting facts about some of the spices as everyone tries to guess the jar contents. We learned that vanilla is so expensive because it’s difficult to pollinate.

If you have a spare hour in EPCOT and the price is in your budget, this is an excellent value!
