Changes for Epcot to be Announced at This Year’s D23 Expo
We are almost at D23 Expo time and the last edition back in 2017 brought us some doozies in the news department. I’m talking Disney Skyliner, the Star Wars Hotel, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. What will this year’s Expo have in store for us? Well, we already know one thing that will be discussed. According to the Disney Parks Blog, additional details will be released about the big changes that are coming to Epcot.
We already know that the park’s main entrance will be updated, but there will also be big changes in the core section of the park – the part right behind Spaceship Earth. Rumors have been swirling about potential changes and if some or all come to fruition, the whole area will definitely look very different.
Those classic Epcot icons aren’t going anywhere. Matter of fact, we’ll have new ones released, like a new icon for that upcoming play pavilion that was announced.
Finally, we’ll learn more about the updated films coming to Future World (in The Land) and World Showcase (in China, Canada, and France), as well as new dining experiences being added to the menu of what Disney now seems to be referring to as the “foodie park.” (So, if you thought there was a lot of dining choices before….I think we’re in for more changes.)
So, with details like this trickling out already about this year’s D23 Expo, I think this year will be another incredible year filled with lots of news! Make sure you stay tuned to the blog here as I’ll be sure to post all the details as soon as they are released on the days of the Expo.
