Changes to the Cheese: Emile’s Fromage Montage is Back With an Extra Step
Emile’s Fromage Montage, a Food & Wine Festival staple that rewards you for eating cheese, is back with some changes to the redemption process.

What is Emile’s Fromage Montage
Well, fromage amis, this is a stroll of cheese that rewards you with a plastic souvenir cup of soft serve after you have paid for 5 qualifying Food & Wine dishes.

- Collect a stamp for each item at purchase.
Have the stamp page of your Festival Passport ready when you approach a kitchen register. After you’ve placed your order for a qualifying Fromage Montage menu item, hand the Cast Member your Passport so they can place a stamp on the last page.
We decided to try three items to get our five stamps on opening day of Food & Wine.

Should you decided to get all 5 stamps at the Greece kitchen buying multiple plates of this glorious griddled cheese with pistachios and honey, we would think you wise.

A second stamp in our book was the Basque Cheesecake from Spain, pictured above. The orange sauce has bitter, candied orange peel and the cheesecake was the proper sweetness ~ around a 2 out of 5. Outstanding and so reasonably priced that we wouldn’t recommend using a DDP Snack Credit for this one.

We’ve basically composed so much food poetry about this dish that it’s starting to get weird, but it’s stellar. Don’t skip.
What’s Changed?
The final step of the Montage, prize redemption, has changed this year! For countless EPCOT Festivals in the past, any food stroll (like the Cookie Stroll at Festival of the Holidays or the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine at Festival of the Arts) would allow guests with completed Festival Passports to skip the registers at the redemption location and go straight to the redemption window to get their prize. No more.

Now, guests with completed Fromage Montage Passports (5 qualifying stamps) must go to the registers at Shimmering Sips. You’ll need to present your completed passport in order to receive a receipt, like the one pictured above, that shows you are entitled to a redemption prize. You can see in the image above that the total is zero ~ you don’t have to pay anything additional. Once you have your receipt, you’ll move to the second window (the one with the big “2” above) where you’ll present your receipt and receive your prize.
One extra step that hopefully won’t take much time before you can enjoy your free soft serve.
