Disney Early Morning Magic to Continue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Disney Early Morning Magic special event looks like it will be continuing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This event allows guests to have first access to select attractions and characters, as well as enjoy a great breakfast.
The event, which kicks off again on October 8 and is available prior to park opening on Saturdays through December 17, allows a limited number of Guests to experience Star Tours – The Adventures Continue and Toy Story Mania! as well as being able to meet Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Olaf.
Disney Early Morning Magic will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Official check-in will take place near the far-left turnstiles of the Main Entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios beginning at 7:45 a.m. Guests will receive a wristband for identification upon check-in.
Breakfast takes place at ABC Commissary and will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Menu items will include:
- Assorted chilled fruit juices
- Sliced seasonal fruit and berries
- A variety of freshly baked breakfast pastries, served with butter, preserves and marmalade
- Fluffy scrambled eggs
- Spinach and mushroom frittata
- Bacon and pork sausage
- Cheesy potatoes
- Puffed French toast with butter & syrup
- Muesli with assorted toppings
- Coffee, decaf, milk, chocolate milk and a selection of teas
Guests must have both standard park admission, as well as a reservation to participate in Disney Early Morning Magic. Pricing is $69 plus tax for adults and $59 plus tax for children (ages 3-9). To make a reservation, Guests may call 407-827-7350

I may be the exception here, but I just don’t get it. Whether MK or HS, I’d rather spend that $ on a really good table service meal in the evening. By using fpps & rope drop wisely (even on 8 &9 CL days), we’ve been able to avoid lines, and ride rides extra times, without paying over the daily price of the park.
That was basically my first thought too. It just depends on whether you think it’s worth it to experience some of these attractions multiple times in a row. No matter how great the touring plan, you’ll never get in 7 rides of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in a day with no wait. Plus you get to experience the park in the morning basically empty, without the mad rush of teenagers pushing you out of the way (of course that could also just be an argument for early breakfast reservations). If riding these attractions multiple times in a row with no wait doesn’t appeal to you, you’re right, it’s not worth it. For me, it was just a different experience that I would never get any other way. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it’s not for everyone.
My husband and I did the early morning magic at MK, and it was awesome. The cast member told us the cut off was 300 people. We rode Peter Pan 3 times, Winnie the Pooh twice, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 7 times with no wait at all. When the crowds started showing up at park opening, we stopped and had a pretty decent breakfast.
I doubt I’d do the HS one because I don’t care much about meet and greets, and the rides aren’t ones I’d care to ride multiple times in a row. If that does appeal to you though, I’d highly recommend this experience. I was skeptical at first about the price tag, but I’d do the MK one again in a second.
DHS is such a shuttered mess that I’m skipping it on my upcoming trip. I can’t imagine paying even more to get reasonable access to the few remaining attractions in the park.
