Disney in a Minute: What is the Tri-Circle-D Ranch?
We’re here with a series of quick posts, “Disney in a Minute,” bite-sized nuggets of information that can better help you understand a Disney term or planning topic. Enjoy!
Tri-Circle-D Ranch is Walt Disney World’s working horse farm. The Ranch is split between two locations, both at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds. Both areas house live animals that can be visited by guests.
The Stable section is located near the Settlement Trading Post and Pioneer Hall (home to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue). The easiest way to get there is to take the Fort Wilderness boat from the Magic Kingdom dock area. Open hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. There is a small museum area and walk-in pony rides available for children. Guests are allowed into the horse stall area when the Stable is open. Horse-drawn carriage rides may be available in the winter months.
There are also playgrounds, a restaurant, and a bar located near the Pioneer Hall and Stables area.

The Trail Blaze Corral section is located near the main entrance to Fort Wilderness. The easiest way to get there is by vehicle, either your own car or a Disney bus. This is when you gather for Disney World’s trail ride experience which takes guests on a gentle horse ride around Fort Wilderness. You can book trail rides in advance via the My Disney Experience app or the DisneyWorld.com website. There are age, weight, and attire requirements for riders, be sure to inquire when booking.
