EPCOT Festival Tables Slowly Being Replaced with Environmentally-Friendly Bins

Bloggers used to posing brown bowls of EPCOT festival food on trash cans around World Showcase are going to need another plan, because more solar-powered bins are show up!

This pair even includes a recycle bin!

The solar panels that keep these receptacles running are on the top, or “table”, portion of the bins. When you step on the silver pedal with the foot print at the bottom of the bin, the flaps marked “trash” or “recycle” open for a hands-free disposal experience. Covering the solar panels on the top of the bin as we take beauty shots of Raclette and bread would block the sun, rendering the bins useless.

We’re hopeful this means Disney is planning to add a slew of new tables ahead of Food & Wine this August!
