Epcot is Starting to Get a Paint Job

There’s a bold paint scheme starting to appear around Epcot. Take a look at the formerly all off-white Odyssey building (between Future World and World Showcase) now sporting a stylized triangles and stripes in a retro almost-rainbow color palette. The hues here remind me a bit of the old rainbow light arch from the 1980s Journey into Imagination, and they were foreshadowed by the pin collection that was all the rage at D23 last month.

A not quite visible grey logo also shows what looks like one of the new “neighborhood” logos. We can’t wait to see more.

  • The Odyssey stripes look a lot like the recent Tomorrowland paint scheme.

    • I hear you. It’s like a retro-future feel in both places.

  • I like it. ’80s-revival without looking dated. Dare we hope they’re not going to screw this up?!

    • Our parks reporter Christina took these photos yesterday (Monday) at about noon. We think the painting was done over the weekend.
