First Look! Six Ravens
Six Ravens at Disney Springs soft opened today and we waited in a two hour virtual queue to try all six Coffyns, or hand pies!

The name “Six Ravens” is taken from the Tower of London lore surrounding their resident ravens. The tale goes that as long as there are at least six ravens in residence, the monarchy will survive. If you’ve visited the Tower of London, you know the story gets darker, but we’re just here to talk about hand pies!

The premise of the food is that the creators of Gideon’s Bakehouse wanted to collaborate with talented chefs around Central Florida to develop one excellent menu. The result is a set of six Coffyns with carefully curated sauces, smashed potatoes, a chocolate chip cookie tart, and a few non-alcoholic beverages, and beers.

Location: Six Ravens is located in The Landing neighborhood of Disney Springs, two doors down from The Ganachery, and across from Paradiso 37.
Hours: 10:00am to 11:00pm
Virtual Queue: For now, Six Ravens is operating with a virtual queue. You’ll need to join the virtual queue (vq) at the location ~ this is not a vq that can be joined on the My Disney Experience app. The Cast Members onsite said they will only use the vq until crowds reduce and a standard line can be implemented.
In order to join the queue, you’ll need to leave your number with the Cast Member outside of Six Ravens ~ just like you would at Gideon’s when they have a virtual queue. You’ll get a text when it’s time to return and order.
Interior

The folks at Gideon’s certainly know how to theme a tiny space! This mural of the Imperial Idol is neat to see even if you aren’t hungry.

The Food
We whipped out the old food scale during our visit. The average Coffyn weight was 5.2 ounces. Each Coffyn was 6 inches long, 3 inches wide, and approximately 1 inch thick.
Each hand pie is $10.96 + tax each. Each pie comes with one paired dipping sauce. Extra dipping sauce is $1.96 + tax. For now, guests are limited to two Coffyns each.

The Foragers Find, Tropic of Mango Aioli Dip
Spiced Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Crushed Pepitas, and Queso Cotija in a Pumpkin Seed topped Coffyn.
The sweet potato is nice with the mango dip. This one has a tiny bit of kick.

The Villain of Valentina
House Basil Pesto Chicken, Balsamic Tomatoes, and all the Kingdom’s Garlic, trapped in a Herb Panko splashed Coffyn.
This one isn’t for spice weenies like us. The flavor was good but the heat took us out.

The Peasant’s Patty
A Classic Cheeseburger topped with American Cheese, Dill Pickle Bits, encased in a Sesame Seed sprinkled Coffyn.
We love the copious quantity of sesame seeds, but we’d skip this next time and save our money for a Cheeseburger Spring Roll in the Magic Kingdom. The Pink Salamander sauce tastes like Big Mac sauce. It’s not bad, it’s just not our favorite.

The Imperial Idol
Mildly Spicy Chicken with Potato & Carrot Coconut Curry, in a Fried Garlic covered Coffyn harmonizing to create this flavorful offering.
This was one of our favorites because the curry sauce was so delicious. The spice wasn’t painful at all. We’d get this again.
The Wizard’s Wonder
Mac & Cheese balanced with diced Pickled Poblano Peppers, BBQ Pulled Pork, shrouded in a BBQ Crumb covered Coffyn. Prince Donut’s Smoke & Cherry BBQ Sauce
This is our top pick of the six. There is no “tastes like” comparison with this hand pie. The pickled peppers and pork are so nice with the bbq sauce. If you’re only stopping by to try one pie, this is the one to get.
The Moreish Monk
Middle Ages Grilled Cheese using Vermont White Cheddar, Havarti cheese, and House Tomato Jam wrapped in a Parmesan smothered Coffyn. Wolf Peach Sauce
A really nice grilled cheese sandwich with a Wolf Peach Sauce that leans toward a beer cheese sauce. Very simple, very nice.
Overall, Six Ravens is worth a visit if you can rope drop or shop while you wait in a virtual queue. It’s always nice to see new places open at Disney Springs and the effort that went into this tiny shop is impressive.
Let us know what you had and what you thought about your food when you visit!
