Seven Iconic Food Items at Epic Universe

Epic Universe is nearly a year old and if there’s one thing we’ve taken away from this new park, it’s that their food and beverage game is A+. Epic is home to loads of E-Ticket food options and in this article we’ll cover seven of the most talked about and photographed food offerings at the park.

Green Shell Calzone.

Red & Green Shell Calzones – Yoshi Snack Island

Our first snack is located in Super Nintendo World, the home to all things Mario! Located on the lowest level of Super Mario Land is Yoshi Snack Island and their popular Shell Calzones. These cute hand pies are stuffed with either a meat sauce (red shell) or a vegetarian sauce (green shell). These are prefect snacks for kids, hungry plumbers, and small dinosaurs alike.

Butterbeer crepe.

Butterbeer Crepes – Cafe L’air De La Sirene

Universal has made an industry of creating Butterbeer flavored items: drinks, potted cream, cookies, ice pops, ice cream, and vapes (ok that last one I made up). But in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – The Ministry of Magic is one that might take the cake: the butterbeer crepes. Served all day, these light and crispy French pancakes are super thin and folded over each other. The crepes are then topped with butterbeer cream, a butterscotch drizzle, strawberries, and a Butterbeer (Bieraubeurre) garnish on top.

PB& J Mac & Cheese Cone and Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel.

Mac & Cheese Cones – Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel

Over in the Isle of Berk the handheld Mac & Cheese cones have become the hit of the vikings. A descendent of the Handwich, this bread cone is covered with seasoning and stuffed with delicious mac and cheese plus assorted other add-ons. There are three cones offered year around: the traditional cone with mac and cheese then topped with fish crackers (you know the ones); a PB&J (pork belly & jam) cone full of delicious harissa pulled pork and peanut bacon jam; and the Dragon’s Garden Pyre cone with lemon herb chicken, fire roasted corn, avocado spread, and Flaming Hot Doritos crumbled on top.

Burning Blade Tavern. Hunter’s Garlic Stake.

Garlic Stake Pretzel – Burning Blade Tavern

The Burning Blade Tavern is the home to the monster hunters of Darkmore, and there’s no better option to ward off Dracula and his brides than some garlic and a stake through the heart. The Universal culinary team listened to the hunters and developed the Garlic Stake Pretzel. This long pretzel stick is shaped liked a wooden stake and is covered in garlic butter and served with a garlic dipping sauce (think Papa John’s dipping sauce). The pretzel is over the top with garlic in the best way and is a must order for every trip. Not a fan of garlic? Check out the Burning Cheddar Bites which are filled with jalapeño pimento cheese.

Pizza Lunare & Brownie Eclipse – Pizza Moon

One of 2025’s hottest food trends was ube, a root vegetable from the Philippines, famous for its sweet, vanilla like flavor. It popped up everywhere, from ice cream to cocktails, and in Epic Universe, to pizzas! Pizza Moon is your celestial destination for all things wood fired and cheesy in Epic, and their creative and fun interior. But don’t sleep on Pizza Moon as it has some of the best pizzas in a theme park, period. There are two iconic items on this interstellar menu: the Pizza Lunare and the Brownie Eclipse. The Pizza Luna uses that ube in the crust to create a funky crust topped with a roasted garlic béchamel, fromage de lune (special cheese mix), garlic, ricotta, and pancetta ham. If you’re looking for something sweet then check out the Brownie Eclipse, a big brownie covered in Nutella, toasted marshmallow, and crushed Oreo.

DK Crush Float

DK Crush Float – The Bubbly Barrel

He’s the leader of the bunch, you know him well, he’s finally back to sell some food! Ok I’m still working the new DK Rap, sorry. But if you are interested in what Donkey Kong Country is serving up in Super Nintendo World then head over to the Bubbly Barrel for the DK Crush Float. Served alone or in a custom DK barrel mug, the Crush Float is a pineapple and banana soft serve (NOT A DOLE WHIP) served in a waffle cone, topped with toffee pieces and caramel popcorn, all over a cup of pineapple juice.
