Is the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show Gone for Good?

The Magic Kingdom welcome show, Let the Magic Begin, has been running without characters since the beginning of the year because of the Cinderella Castle repaint project. The show was still taking place each day 5 minutes before regular park opening, just without Mickey, Minnie, and friends.

We noticed yesterday that Let the Magic Begin is no longer on Disney’s calendar or website.

If you search for the show on Google, the old page populates but the link takes to you the “Someone Ate the Page!” error message. Just to be sure, one of our park reporters was in the Magic Kingdom this morning to check. No show.

Is Disney working on a brand new show? Maybe something to celebrate the new Castle colors and new and refurbished attractions in the Magic Kingdom? Are we maybe looking at a new welcome show on May 26th when all of the summer fun kicks off? We sure hope so, but we don’t have anything official for now. We will keep you posted.
