Main Street Electrical Parade Returns to the Disneyland Resort
It’s the parade that never ends…yes it goes on and on….sorry…it just seemed like the appropriate intro.
The Main Street Electrical Parade is coming back once again to Disneyland Park this summer for another encore performance.
During the parade, as lights go down along the parade route, Guests hear that iconic musical theme as they see a variety of beloved Disney animated feature films brought to life through floats covered with approximately half a million colorful LED twinkling lights. The soundtrack is incredible catchy with its “electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds” and the parade is loved by all ages.
The Main Street Electrical Parade was brought to light on June 17, 1972. The popular parade later appeared at Disney Parks around the world. This spectacular entertained guests at Disneyland until it “glowed away” in 1996. Most recently, the parade ran for a limited-time at Disneyland in 2017, and prior to that, it illuminated Disney California Adventure Park from 2001-2010.
The Main Street Electrical Parade will debut on August 2 and will run until September 30.
