Menu Monday: Boma Breakfast Review
Looking for the best breakfast spot in all of Disney World? Look no further than the Boma breakfast buffet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Nestled in a quiet spot on the first floor of Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Jambo House, you will find this hidden gem. Known for its delicious as well as adventurous dinner buffet complete with the famous Zebra Domes, many guests are unaware that a spectacular breakfast is also served here. The Boma breakfast buffet offers an amazing variety of tasty foods so even the most picky of eaters, like myself, can find plenty of things to try. Boma is my family’s favorite breakfast place in Disney World and when we visited again last month, it did not disappoint!
Thinking of checking it out for yourself on your next Disney World vacation? Read on for everything you need to know about the Boma breakfast buffet.
The Atmosphere
One of the things that I love about Boma is the calm atmosphere. You can sit back, relax and enjoy a nice leisurely breakfast before you head off to a fast-paced day in the parks. Now, you won’t find any characters here, so do keep that in mind if that is important to you, .

How To Get There
Located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort, it can be a little tricky getting to Boma if you aren’t staying at the hotel. If you have access to a car (either your own, a rental, Uber, or taxi), this will be by far the easiest way to reach your destination. If you are relying on Disney transportation, first take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park and once there, switch to another bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you will be using Disney’s bus transportation, be sure to allow at least 90 minutes to make the trip and keep in mind buses begin running approximately 1 hour before park opening. Here’s a helpful hint: If you will be using Disney buses to get to Boma, try making your breakfast reservation for a day that Animal Kingdom has morning Extra Magic Hours. Buses will begin running at approximately 7:00am giving you the ability to reach Boma for an 8:30am breakfast reservation.
Note that relying on a bus to get •from• a park •to• a resort in the morning can be a risky proposition. The system often has buses drop off and depart without picking up. You may need to flag down a CM to let someone know you need a bus.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the Boma Breakfast Buffet. Another idea is to have a later breakfast. We were able to go to Animal Kingdom and ride Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safari without using FP+ and then leave and go do breakfast and come back to the park for the rest of the things we wanted to do.
One of our favorite spots in all of Disney. My only complaint – by the time I’ve finished eating here, I need a nap. Maybe they should consider breakfast buffet a little later in the day 🙂
