New Pizzafari Menu Item, Same Rating

Pizzafari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom released a new menu item so we hopped over to give it a try.

Pizzafari recently released a new menu item, Baked Chicken Tenders served with Tangy Dipping Sauce and Kettle Chips for $12.99 + tax. Pizzafari is a quick service location and does not accept Annual Passholder discounts.

The Baked Chicken Tenders that we ordered today looked close enough to the menu image….

The breading on the chicken is a cornmeal base similar to the batter you’d find on fried catfish. It wasn’t bad exactly, but it also wasn’t great. The sauce, as you can see from the image above, was in a huge container similar to the one used for tomato soup at Pinocchio Villa Haus or other locations. It tasted like thousand island dressing with a dash of Tabasco.

Baked chicken tenders is a step in a healthier direction and we don’t want to discourage advances toward more nutritious theme park food options, but this new dish sadly falls under the “Much Below Average” header, too.
