New Offsite Properties Designated as Official Walt Disney World Hotels

Guests staying at either the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek or the Waldorf Astoria Orlando are now designated as Official Walt Disney World Hotels. Guests staying at these hotels in 2019 with valid Walt Disney World theme park admission will now have access to the Walt Disney World theme park Extra Magic Hours benefit. This comes on the heels of Disney recently allowing Guests staying at the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels as Official Walt Disney World Hotels.

Guests staying at these hotels will be able to take part in Extra Magic Hours where each day, one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks opens early or stays open later for Guests to enjoy select attractions. Guests staying at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek or the Waldorf Astoria Orlando will need to present an official voucher, which they may obtain at the hotel, as well as valid Theme Park admission to be able to utilize Extra Magic Hours.

Also, beginning on April 3, 2019, guests at these two resorts who have booked a Walt Disney Travel Company package including a stay at Hilton Bonnet Creek or Waldorf Astoria Orlando, as well as theme park admission, will be able to link their hotel reservation on MyDisneyExperience.com. This means that they will then be able to make FastPass+ reservations at the 60-day mark.

  • What’s the benefit of doing this? Getting people to stay at their end of the highway instead of Universal’s?

  • I am not at all thrilled at the thought of having to compete with off-site guests for 60 day priority FP+. Factoring in increased on-site guest numbers from the new Disney Hotel construction projects, and that is a lot of increased competition for the most in-demand Fastpasses.

  • I think I read the airport Hilton in Cincinnati will be the next WDW hotel….any validity there?

    • This is funny. We need a like button here.

  • Is there an estimate regarding how many people this will add to EMH attendance? My son and I are avid Disney fans but the increasing costs and the watering down of onsite benefits like this (impacting EMH attendance and FASTPASS+ availability) will certainly impact future plans.
