Poll Results for June 2026

If you follow us on Instagram, you’ve likely seen one of the polls we add to our stories. We posted a new poll on June 16th asking about Walt Disney World vacation planning. We also added a question box to gather more information and we received dozens of comments at the end of our poll. You can see the poll results and some of the comments below.

Knowing our audience (y’all are some of the best and most brilliant minds in your fields around the world!) this was surprising!

No surprise that lots of folks said the research is fun.

Resort, tickets, dining, Lightning Lanes, transportation, and all of the little extras that go into the perfect itinerary can make or break a vacation.

Maybe we should have worded this differently because lots of folks told us they want the 90 day dining reservation window back! There were even a few comments about extending the Lighting Lane window.

This one is fascinating! Do you agree?

Below are some of the comments we received at the end of our poll:

• Planning WDW is pleasant and part of the trip.
• Lightning Lane has made the process hard. Before LL, it was great! 
• I think the complexity of it is part of the appeal. 
• It’s complicated but that’s why I love it! The planning is the best! 

Are you seeing a theme here? Maybe we’re cracking the Disney Adult code… Let’s keep going:

• Universal seems pretty hard to figure out as well. I haven’t found a good beginner guide. (Try this one!)
• Planning is half the fun. 
• It’s fun planning, but it is a lot. Using a travel agent helps. 
• Lightning Lane and dining bookings need to be made at the same time. (Full agree over here!)
• The Lightning Lanes are so frustrating. I wish they would just create a designated line with no scheduling. 
• Once you’ve got it down it’s a piece of cake! Especially with the help of TouringPlans! (Thank you, Lexi. The check is on the way!)
• It’s all of those things- hard, time consuming, etc, but I just love it so much so I do it anyway!
• I love planning a Disney vacay! Doing the research is a way of building the anticipation! 
• Disney has so many added components! (Amen. Try explaining how to plan a trip to someone who has never been to WDW and watch their face as you talk!)
• I enjoy planning and researching Disney trips. 
• I like to plan so it’s less of an issue for me. 
• Yes, it’s complicated and tricky to plan Disney trips, but I do it anyway!
• For the avid Disney fan, I think it’s easy. The casual fan would find it difficult. 
• Planning comes much easier the higher your budget. (Truer words..)
• Planning a WDW vacation is half of the fun! 
• Planning and packing are part of the fun of a Disney vacation!
