Review: Everything We Ate at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) time is valuable and lines for party exclusive food can be long. Below are our picks and skips for the 2026 MNSSHP food.
The Friar’s Nook, Fantasyland
If you only have time for one food stop, this is our top pick!

Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie, $9.99
Our Rating: 5/5
Buffalo Chicken and Mozzarella wrapped in a Flaky Dough topped with Blue Cheese Crumbles and Buffalo-Ranch

Bowl of Bones, $13.99
Our Rating: 5/5
Pork Wings fried with Jalapeños and tossed in Barbecue Sauce made with Cherry Coca-Cola®

Not-So-Poison Apple Doughnuts, $6.49 (DDP)
Our Rating: 5/5
Rolled in Apple Cider Sugar and drizzled with Caramel Sauce

Haunting Jalapeño Tots, $10.49
Our Rating: 4/5
Tots topped with Plant-based Black Bean Chili, Cheddar Sauce, and Jalapeño Sauce
The Friar’s Nook has been our favorite spot for MNSSHP food over the last few years and we’re giving them high marks again. They start serving party food at 6:00pm (in person only) to guests with MNSSHP wristbands. Mobile Order opens up when the party starts at 7:00pm.
The Bowl of Bones is sticky, sweet, and zesty. The Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie is our favorite savory item of the bunch and the Doughnuts are one sweet that we look forward to all year. Bonus = the Doughnuts qualify as a Disney Dining Plan (DDP) Snack Credit!
Sleepy Hollow, Liberty Square

Sleepy Hollow starts serving party food at 6:30pm. You’ll need to be in the physical line and show your party wristband to order. Mobile Order opens when the party starts at 7:00pm.

Graveyard Hot Chicken and Waffle, $13.29
Our Rating: 3/5
Nashville Hot Chicken Strips, Blue Cornmeal Waffle, and Pickle Ranch
This one isn’t going to be a hit for everyone, but if you like a spicy chicken tender and a twangy dressing, this may be for you. If you’re feeling plucky enough to order this dish, plan to share. It’s a lot of food.

Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae, $8.99 (DDP)
Our Rating: 3/5
Pumpkin Funnel Cake topped with Pumpkin Gelato, Whipped Cream, Pumpkin-spiced Caramel, Candy Pumpkins, and Sprinkles
Hooray for the Pumpkin Gelato on this bed of fried dough and sugar! Share this with at least four other folks and you might get through it all. The gelato is wonderful, but it’s so, so sweet!

Doom Buggy Dumplings, $8.99
Our Rating: 4/5
Chicken Dumplings with Red Miso Gochujang Sauce, Furikake, and Chili Threads
If these are your flavor profiles, this is a great reason to head to Sleepy Hollow! We got a hearty portion ~ five dumplings! ~ and lots of delicious Red Miso Gochujang Sauce!
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, Tomorrowland

Cosmic Ray’s is home to the DescenDANCE Party and it’s just a short walk to characters and treats. You can read about all of the entertainment at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary right here. They start serving party food at 6:00pm (in person only) to guests with MNSSHP wristbands. Mobile Order opens up when the party starts at 7:00pm. On to the food..

Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger, $14.99
Our Rating: 2/5
Angus Beef with Boursin® and Brie Fondue, Crispy Onions, Garlic Pickles on a toasted Black Bun served with French Fries
The cheese was a lot. We love garlic and onions, but this whole thing is heavy and will require lots and lots of breath mints after. The burger is billed as “Angus Beef” but it’s the usual overcooked patty one can expect from theme park food. There are better savory options at MNSSHP.
Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken Strips, $12.99
Our Rating: 3/5
With Korean Barbecue Sauce and topped with Black Sesame Seeds, Crispy Garlic, and Green Onions
These are the same chicken strips you can get around the parks, but with a pretty good Korean Barbecue Sauce. Meh. The sauce is good but that’s not enough reason to visit this spot when you get hungry during the party.
Minnie Witch Hat, $7.99
Our Rating: 1/5
Sugar Cookie topped with Strawberry-Banana Mousse, Chocolate and Buttercream
It makes a precious picture, but we think it’s time these wet mousse desserts go the way of the dome cake and retire. Expensive, cute, not particularly tasty. Skip.
Oogie Boogie Slushy, $6.99
Our Rating: 4/5
Frozen Apple Cider topped with Cinnamon Whipped Cream and Sour Gummy Candy
The real thing is far less neon than the advertised version, but it’s still got a fun appearance. The green apple flavor is the same one you’re probably thinking of when you recall hard candies of the same name. It’s fun and sweet, so if you’re planning to be at Cosmic Ray’s anyway, it might be worth your time and money.
Are you headed to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary this year? Is there a party exclusive dish on your list to try?
