REVIEW – Two New Sweets at Hollywood Studios Make Movie Magic

Lots of new sweets and snacks have arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently. Our team has enjoyed the hard work it takes to try out these treats, so you know what is worth your vacation money, and what isn’t. Let’s head over to Rosie’s All American Cafe to check out the two new desserts there. The Strawberry Shortcake and Snacking Sandwich Cookie are both available through mobile ordering whether you want a full meal at Rosie’s or just these sweet treats.

Strawberry Shortcake Terrine and Snacking Sandwich Cookie from Rosie’s All American Café
  • Strawberry Shortcake Verrine – Vanilla Cake Layered with Fresh Strawberries, Topped with Whipped Cream, Strawberry Crispy Pearls, and Dehydrated Strawberries – $5.99
  • Snacking Sandwich Cookie – Fluffy Vanilla Marshmallow Sandwiched Between Pretzel and Potato Chip Shortbread Cookies, Covered in Dark Chocolate and Flaky Sea Salt – $4.99

The Strawberry Shortcake Verrine  is sweet, refreshing, and pretty simple. If you want a taste of spring and summer layered into a cup, this is for you. It’s a traditional taste executed well. Not something to rush to the park to snatch up, but it is a good choice for those looking for a slightly lighter dessert. It is a little overpriced at $5.99, but still a nice dessert.

The Snacking Sandwich Cookie the perfect creation for anyone who loves to pair sweet with salty. The cookie is enormous and the chocolate melted pretty quickly in the heat, but the marshmallow stayed firm. The cookies themselves are on the soft side. Together these different sweet and salty components come together in an indulgent dessert.

Both of these treats are welcome additions to the Hollywood Studios line up. We’ve also tried the Hazelnut Crunch Cannoli and the Paint Can Cake, both of which are new and delicious.

Which of these new treats at Hollywood Studios sound the best to you? Let us know in the comments.
