The Disney World Water Park Fun & More Ticket Add-On: What’s Up With That?

In the triumvarate of Walt Disney World ticket modifications you have the Park Hopper, the No Expiration option, and the Water Park Fun & More option. The first two modifications are fairly straightforward, the Park Hopper allows you to visit more than one park per day, the No Expire allows your tickets to have no expiration date. But what’s that Water Park Fun one? Do I need it? Is it worth it? Why should I get it? Let’s figure this all out. 
The basic information is this:
- Neither water park nor DisneyQuest admission is included in with the basic or Park Hopper theme park ticket.
- To get into a water park or DisneyQuest you’ll need either a separate water park or DisneyQuest ticket, or you’ll need to purchase the Water Park Fun & More add-on for your basic or Park Hopper theme park ticket.
- The Water Park Fun & More (heretofore known as WPF&M) add-on is purchased for a flat rate, regardless of the number of days you have on your basic ticket or Park Hopper.
- Currently, the WPF&M option costs $55.00 per person, plus tax. The child and adult price is the same. Florida residents may pay a lower price.
- For your flat fee, you get a variable number of “Fun” admissions, based on the number of days on your basic or Park Hopper ticket.
- The number of Fun visits is commensurate with the number of theme park days on your ticket. For example, four day ticket with the WPF&M add-on will have four Fun visits. A five day ticket with the WPF&M add-on will have five Fun visits, and so on.
- A Fun visit can be either: a one-day admission to one of the water parks, a one-day admission to DisneyQuest, a one-day admission to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (ESNPWWoS), or one round at Disney’s nine-hole Oak Trail golf course.
- Your theme park visits and Fun visits do not have to be on the same day, or even consecutive days.
- All theme park and Fun visits must be completed within 14 days of the first use of the ticket, unless you’ve purchased the No Expire option as well.
Given those parameters, let’s consider some of the ways you could use your ticket with the WPF&M add-on:
- Visit Epcot – Use one theme park admission.
- Visit Epcot in the morning and the Magic Kingdom in the afternoon – Use one theme park admission IF YOU HAVE A PARK HOPPER TICKET. This is not a possible scenario if you only have a basic theme park ticket.
- Visit Blizzard Beach – Use one Fun admission.
- Visit Epcot in the morning and Blizzard Beach in the afternoon – Use one theme park admission and one Fun admission.
- Visit Blizzard Beach in the morning and DisneyQuest in the afternoon – Use two Fun admissions.
- Visit Blizzard Beach in the morning, DisneyQuest in the afternoon, and Epcot in the evening – Use two Fun admissions and one theme park admission.
- Visit Blizzard Beach in the morning and Typhoon Lagoon in the afternoon – Use two Fun admissions.
- Visit Blizzard Beach in the morning, go to your hotel and take a nap, come back to Blizzard Beach later in the day – Use one Fun admission.
Now that you get the idea, you probably have some questions.
Is getting the WPF&M add-on worth it?
That depends on how much you’ll be visiting the water parks, DisneyQuest, ESPNWWoS, or the Oak Trail golf course. Currently, a single-day admission to a water park costs about $52 for adults (ages 10 and up) and about $44 for children (ages 3-9). A single day-day admission to DisneyQuest is currently about $46 for adults (ages 10 and up) and about $39 for children (ages 3-9). A round at the Oak Trail golf course is currently $38. Pricing ESPNWWoS is currently about $15 for adults (10 and up) and about $10 for children (ages 3-9).
It’s pretty easy to see that if you’re going to be visiting a Fun location only once during your trip, a single-day admission is most economical. If you’re going to be visiting more than once, the WPF&M add-on is the way to go. 
My family has six-day Park Hoppers. Can only one of us get the WPF&M add-on and share those six Fun admissions with the rest of the gang?
Nope, sorry. Each ticket can only be used by one person.
I think I want to go to the water parks, but I don’t know what the weather will be like during my trip. Should I buy the WPF&M add-on?
I generally advise guests to wait until they arrive to decide if they want the WPF&M add-on. Your base ticket or Park Hopper can be upgraded to the WPF&M add-on at any ticket window or guest relations office at WDW. This way you’ll have both a clearer picture of the weather situation during your travel and a better handle on what your actual schedule is going to be like.

I have a six day Park Hopper and the WPF&M add-on. Does this mean I can be busy for twelve days?
Kinda, yeah. Personally, I think it would be tough to spend six full days at the water parks and DisneyQuest without going a little nuts. But if that’s your thing, then go for it. If you’re looking for economical ways to extend your vacation activities, the WPF&M option is a fantastic way to do this.
I have an eight day Park Hopper and eight fun admissions. I can’t possibly use them all. Are these admissions going to go to waste?
Probably. Of course, you do have the option of upgrading your ticket to the No Expire option. With the No Expire option, your remaining Fun visits are valid into perpetuity, until you use them. The kicker is that adding the No Expire option to an eight day ticket currently costs about $200. Obviously, that’s significantly more than the flat $55 fee to re-purchase the WPF&M option during your next visit. It’s also about the same price as four separate single-day water park tickets. This means it’s likely more economical to let unused WPF&M visits expire and go to waste rather than try to preserve them. 
I have an eight day Park Hopper and eight fun admissions. Can I get sixteen days of play out of them?
No. Tickets are only good for 14-days from first use. In your situation, if you do want to take advantage of all of your Fun admissions, you’ll have to use some of them on the same day that you use a regular theme park admission.
Can I go see a bunch of Atlanta Braves preseason games at ESPNWWoS using my WPF&M tickets?
No. The WPF&M admission basically just allows you to walk around the grounds and possibly see some children’s or amateur games being played. There are separate tickets with premium pricing required for premium events.

I am going to Disney World next month, and purchasing 2-day passes for my wife, 2 kids and I.
If I take the WFP&M option for the 4 of us, then does that mean that I can visit Magic Kingdom one day, Animal Kingdom another day, then Blizzard Beach another day, and Typhoon Lagoon on another day? 4 separate days of fun?!?!

Didn’t add last trip as only at DW 5 days but will add next trip. After a late night at a park, planning late character breakfast, round of mini-golf, and then water park the next day is a great way to relax and have time to really enjoy the character breakfast.
I have 7 adult pre 2005 5 day Hopper Plus tickets and 1 child. I think there are two park tickets left on each ticket all plus options i.e. water parks are used). I am going to Florida this year with my partner and grandchild 8 years) how can I best use these tickets? and can I add the water park & fun option to one of these cards and if so, does that mean that I get two days or five? (I would like to visit both water parks.
i was wondering if get the wpf option on a 5 day pass that we will use on a monday as our first day at a Park could i use the wpf option starting on sunday afternoon at disney quest or does it start after first use of a park.
You could start your ticket use at DisneyQuest or a water park. There’s no need to begin at a theme park.
We did the WPF&M when we went last year and bought it ahead of time. But we only went to one water park and didn’t use it besides that, so it didn’t feel like it was worth it and I didn’t get it this time for our trip in a week. But it is good to know I can buy it once we get there, as it sounds like if we plan on going once, it is probably worth it, as we are staying an extra day this time, so I’m sure we can squeeze in 2 visits.
The water park, though, was pretty crazy. It was packed. But, at least according to the schedulers on this site, our trip this year shouldn’t be as crowded.
Wow, I did not realize this dual-tix feature. So we are planning 6 day trip in June and put the requisite $200 down. I got a 7 day standard ticket with WPF&M add on. Sounds like that was a bad move and I’m losing money because we are planning on going to each water park (so 2 days) and now reading that we can do DisneyQuest will maybe do that on a “resort pool/rest” day.
I guess I should have gotten a 3 or 4 day ticket with the add on then?
Wonder if I can modify the reservation to do that before paying the balance?

When my wife and I go, we never spend a full day in either of the water parks. I think it’s a good idea to keep the park admission, since now you’ll have the option of going from Blizzard Beach (for example) in the morning/afternoon to Epcot for dinner or MK for Wishes. It was a smart move on your part.
Thanks Chris for the reply. From reading this blog, it sounded like I am not able to “park hop” i.e. go from Waterpark to one of the “big 4” Parks though if I purchase the basic non-hopper ticket. Can you or someone clarify that point? Wow, if I can park hop from WP to say MK, that would be great and I’d definitely do what you said and book a meal at EP,MK,AK or HS. Thanks for any clarification you pro’s may have.

If you have a basic theme park ticket with the WPF option, you can certainly spend half a day at a theme park and half a day at a water park. The two types of admission are unrelated.
What you need the Park Hopper option to do is go from theme park A to theme park B in the same day.
If you have only the basic ticket or the Park Hopper ticket, then you can’t go to the water parks. You need the WPF option or a single day water park ticket to do that.

I found the blog on WPF&M very informative. However, I have one suggestion for your Ticket Calculator. In your Advanced Options, you might include a question for whether or not person is staying “on-property”. I’ve found that the $14/day parking quickly makes the Annual Passport a better buy than even a 9 day Park Hopper (with No Expiration, if you visit more than once during a year).
We visit WDW every year, so we have always bought 10-day non-expiring hoppers with WPF&M, using up the park admissions over the course of 2 or 3 years but only using 1 WPF&M admission per trip. Now we have so many unused WPF&M admissions available to us that when buying our 10-day tix this year, we decided not to add WPF&M. Question: If we hang onto one park admission on these tickets, can we add the WPF&M option years down the road?
You can only upgrade tickets within the first 14 days of use. However, since you have a lot of WPF&M admissions left on your other tickets, you can keep using those. They do not expire even if there are no regular park days on them.
In fact, we go every year and only visit the water parks once. So, when we bought our tickets two times ago, we got WPF&M and mad them No Expire. Now we have ater park tickets to last us several years! I keep them in my ‘Disney folder’ which has all my planning information for the next trip so I won’t forget them.

We’re in a similar situation. In 2005 we purchased 10-day no-expiration park hoppers with WPF&M. By 2010, we’d used all 10 days of those tickets and bought more 10-day tickets with all the same options. Now I’m out of major park days on the second ticket (hubby didn’t make the last trip with me, so he still has 5 days). But when I buy my next 10-day ticket, I’ll skip the WPF&M? Why? Because in addition to still having all 10 WPF&M days on my second 10-day ticket, I still have one WPF&M day on the ticket I bought in 2005! Thank goodness they’re all no expiration, because we do NOT use them anywhere near as quickly as we use the regular park admissions.
My wife and I always get the WPF&M option when we go to Disney World. Both water parks are worth visiting once per trip, and Disney Quest is a fun way to spend an evening outside the parks. But I think of it like this: if each of us visit any two of the available destinations, we’re getting tremendous value for our purchase. Of course, if I were only going to be in the area for four days, I’d almost certainly pass. It’s really down to how much time you’ll be in Disney World and how much of that time you intend to spend inside the four parks.
We are considering adding the WPF&M option for our trip in August. We will have 5 day park hopper tickets. Could we visit Blizzard Beach 5 times? Or are we limited to how many days can be used at one location?
Yes, you can use all your WPF&M admissions on the same thing 5 times. Any mix or match of Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest, WWoS and the 9-hole golfing is allowed.

Yes, that’s exactly what they are saying. I’ve got a 6 day base ticket with WPF&M added on for my trip in June. I’ll be down there for 14 days and plan to use all my admission stretched out over that perios of time.

And they don’t have to be six consecutive days – you could use them over as long as 14 days if you wanted. But with six different days of park activity. (That’s counting everything as a “park”.)
