The Reports of His Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

The Pirate is not dead. Well, he’s kind of dead, but he certainly isn’t gone!

Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland was closed for nearly two months earlier this year. When it reopened, a new Pirate audio-animatronic debuted to mixed reviews. Not only was there some backlash about the changes, but the new pirate disappeared for a time causing many to question if he was gone for good.

Well, we can confirm he’s back! We were in the parks over the last few days and managed to grab some video of the plunderer in action!
