Third Virtual Queue Time for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland this week, and Disney has tweaked the Virtual Queue. Previously, it was announced that the queue would open at 7 am and 12 pm. That’s now been updated to include a third drop at 4 pm. Our guess: since Haunted Mansion Holiday is also using a Virtual Queue and you can’t enter both at the same time, this change was made to increase the ability of guests to ride both attractions. No changes to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue were made at Disney World.

Musical Lineup for the Treasure’s Horn

The Treasure is en route to Port Canaveral for her maiden voyage, and you can whistle while you wait. If you’d like to be practice to be in harmony with the ship’s horn, you should know that the Treasure’s horn features a few Disney melodies to complement the ship’s theming. Guests aboard will be able to listen to “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” a nod to the Haunted Mansion Parlor. The dining room Plaza de Coco inspired the inclusion of “Remember Me” in the horn’s lineup. And finally, “A Whole New World” honors the choice of “Aladdin,” for theming in the ship’s Grand Hall.

Notes from D23 Brazil

D23 Brazil is this weekend, with its Parks & Experiences panel held on Saturday morning. We didn’t get a lot of new news; much of it was a recap of announcements from August’s D23 in California. But there were a few highlights and additional details. For instance, in August we heard that the Magic Kingdom is getting a new parade next summer; yesterday we saw new concept art for a planned Moana float.

Here’s a quick recap of the high notes:

  • Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar in the Magic Kingdom is slated for 2025
  • Backstory for Villains Land in the Magic Kingdom: a spell has called all the Villains together in one place
  • Cars Land in Magic Kingdom will begin construction in early 2025
  • Monstropolis in Hollywood Studios will begin construction in early 2025 (with that news, it’s likely we’ll hear something soon about where it’s going to go).
