I haven’t tried in the middle of summer, but I have usually had good luck trying the ‘name-your-own-price’ function at Priceline.com. Even when they suggest a price of $30+ per day, I have been able to consistently get prices in the $10-12 per day range.
Good luck!
My family of five will be visiting Disney World in mid August. I have been shopping for rental cars and am having probelms finding rates close to the prices published in the 2009 book. When is the best time to find the deals??? Is it best to wait for last minute deals? I have tried the various coupon codes. The best rate I have found is $31 a day for a midsize vehicle. Any advice???
