Universal Food News: Emeril’s Tchoup Chop Debuts Cookbook-Inspired $30 Dinner Menu for August
I’m thrilled to share that one of my favorite restaurants at the Universal Orlando Resort, Emeril’s Tchoup Chop (see the standard menu), has announced the addition of a three course, $30 dinner menu featuring menu items adapted from Emeril Lagasse’s first cookbook, Emeril’s New New Orleans Cooking. Four dishes found in the new book will be brought fresh to the dinner table as special items available on this limited time menu, available through the month of August.
Guests ordering off of this exciting menu will start with the Andouille Gnocchi appetizer, served with a Spicy Tomato Sauce and Herb Nage. A choice of entrees is given between the Tipsy Snapper with a Ginger Sake Sauce and Fried Arugula or the Tamarind Glazed Pork Chop with Caramelized Sweet Potatoes and a Green Chili Mole Sauce. Dessert is described simply as the “Chocolate Fantasy Cake.”
It should be noted that while this specialty menu is advertised as a $30 dinner menu, that price does not include the tax or gratuity applicable to the meal.
If our previous experience at Emeril’s Tchoup Chop is anything to go by, it can be expected that this menu will more than live up to the restaurant’s existing hype. And being totally honest here, I’m salivating just writing about this and can’t wait to find a moment to get back to the restaurant to try that pork chop for myself!
They’re also participating in Orlando Magical Dining Month, offering a $33 3-course price fixe meal through September: http://www.visitorlando.com/magicaldining/ (as are a lot of other Universal restaurants, and two restaurants at Swan/Dolphin.)
