Walt Disney World Free Dining Offer for Those Impacted by Coronavirus Closure
For those who were impacted by the Walt Disney World closure due to Coronavirus concerns, Walt Disney World is offering a special free dining deal.
Eligible Guests can take advantage of a vacation package offer that includes accommodations at a select Disney Resort hotel, park admission and a Disney dining plan – valid for arrivals most nights June 1 through September 30, 2020 when you book through May 31, 2020.
This offer is valid only for Guests who booked a vacation package or room reservation to stay at a Disney Resort hotel from March 16 through May 31, 2020 (even if the park opens before then). Offer not valid for reservations cancelled before March 1, 2020.
Guest receive the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan with stays at select Disney Value Resorts or select Disney Moderate Resorts. These Guests will receive:
- Two Quick-Service Meals (per night of stay)
- Two Snacks/Non-alcoholic drinks (per night of stay)
- One Refillable Mug
Guests will receive the Disney Dining Plan with stays at select Disney Deluxe Resorts or select Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts. These Guets will receive:
- One Quick-Service Meal (per night of stay)
- One Table Service Meal (per night of stay)
- Two Snacks/Non-alcoholic drinks (per night of stay)
- One Resort Refillable Mug

We also had a free breakfast when we booked our package disney holiday with our tui operator but as it was cancelled & had to rebook for next Yr we was told we couldn’t get free breakfast as disney hasn’t brung out the free breakfast for next Sept 2021 which I find it unfair as we booked as a package on a disney resort but not direct with disney so we got in in 2020 but due to the Panademic & had to rebook we were not allowed it, surely wether we booked direct or with a tour operator we still staying on a disney resort & should get very unfair
Am I right in my understanding that bookings using my DVC points are not eligible for the free dining plan
To get the “free” dining, you have to pay full price for the room. I had a discounted room so I would have to give up the discount and pay rack rate. That would add an additional $1500 for my reservation for the “free”dining plan.
Our reservation begins 5/31/2020 with our DVC points at Boardwalk Villas. Would we be eligible for the free Disney Dining Plan?

Hello and thank you for the information. We have a trip booked for 5/28-6/1 so fall before the 5/31 date. However, we booked through a third party are we still eligible to re-book with free dining if we did not book directly with Disney? Also, my tickets are also those dates everything online says you can only “exchange” tickets if Disney is not open yet. I want to reschedule and not wait. Should I call Disney directly? Thanks I know no one knows most things yet 🙁
