Walt Disney World Resort Pushing Back Making Hotel Reservations Until July 1

First we had news that the Disneyland Resort would be pushing back the ability to make hotel reservations to July 1, 2020 and now the Walt Disney World Resort is going to be doing the same.

For those who are looking at modifying or making new reservations for future Disney World vacations, Disney has now stated via their website that reservations are currently available for travel dates of July 1 or later. Should the parks open sooner than that date, Guests will have the ability to modify their reservations before that time.

Disney has been regularly notifying Guests whose Walt Disney World hotel bookings are being impacted by temporary closures, letting them know they may modify or cancel their Disney Resort hotel reservations or Walt Disney Travel Company packages. Guests who didn’t book directly with Disney should call their Travel Professional.

There has been no reopening date announced for the Walt Disney World theme parks and hotels. Disney Springs will be reopening for Guests to visit beginning May 20.

  • We still have our reservations currently for the end of June and into July- but I assume they will be cancelled soon. Just waiting to see

  • Have they canceled all reservations for June or just not allowing any additional?

  • So, with out trip planned for 4th August I am at a loss as to what to do. From the UK, cant see international travel being allowed anytime soon.
