Walt Disney World Resort Television Cable Line Up Expanding
Earlier this month the Walt Disney World Resort began rolling out an expanded line up of cable television programming for all of its Disney Resort Hotels. The newly expanded channel offerings now include: AMC, TBS, TNT, TV Land, The Travel Channel, History Channel, Food Network, Bravo, SyFy, Discovery, Fox News, HGTV, TLC, and National Geographic. Hotels are being added to the list of those converted daily, with the final installation expected to be complete with the installation at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground on May 8, 2012.

That’s nice of them. I guess if you’re not feeling well, or have little ones napping it will come in handy. We, personally, only ever have the TV on the parks channel, or a channel with music. Feel it kinda ruins the Disney ambiance to put on other stuff and usually by the time we get back to our room we are too tired to watch anything 🙂
I guess this is probably the end of the “hidden” channel 97 with classic disney cartoons?! 🙁
It’s about time. Paying ove $400 per night and having about 8 stations to choose from (50% of which were Disney “propaganda”) was a pet peeve. (I am not a TV junkie but when I am in my room early in the am and after a long day in the parks, I like to relax with some television.)
It has never been a problem to have limited stations. We rarely watch tv and when we do, it’s always Disney channels and of course the weather for my husband :o).
They didn’t have TBS and TNT before now? My goodness that must have annoyed people during sports playoff time.
I must admit, I did miss my Food Network at night when we got back from the parks!

Brian, you should say FINALLY Fox News. Disney has always had CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, HNC, etc. But NEVER have they had Fox News.
