What You May Have Missed Last Week on the TouringPlans.com Podcast Network

Last week was a big week for our Podcast Network…a huge week…a monumental week…okay, it was the first week. We at Touring Plans along with a group of ultra-talented partner podcasts launched a brand new network. If you’re just catching up with it now, the network is easy to understand: There is one podcast feed that delivers you daily doses of theme park discussion.

That wonderful podcast feed can be found at a multitude of places. It originates at podcast.touringplans.com, where you can direct download or listen on-site to any of our podcasts. The feed is also on iTunes, Stitcher, Blubrry, and Windows Marketplace and searching for TouringPlans.com Podcast Network will get you to it. Remember to subscribe so you get all of the amazing content as soon as it’s posted!

Our inaugural week was just as awesome as we hoped, with fantastic episodes from all of our partners. The Disney Hipsters kicked us off with their trademark snarkiness and a review of Pixar’s Monsters University.

Monday saw a double dose of discussion, starting with the gentlemen of Universal NOW talking about that “other” theme park and all the amazing new things going on there. With Universal buying new land in Orlando, building an entire Simpsons-themed street, and the possibility of King Kong’s return, they were not short of news.

If Disneyland holds a place in your heart, the DisGeek podcast is right there with you. Last week these West Coasters gave you all the DLR news and shared some of their Disney memories so you can understand why they speak so passionately about Walt’s park.

Tuesday, July 2, was the network’s first taste of the always professional and entertaining WDW Happy Place podcast. This husband and wife team was all over the Disney news, talking about the future company leadership, the Phineas and Ferb/Marvel crossover, and the possibility of a screen version of Marvel’s The Black Panther.

The middle of last week was all about capturing magic…the Capturing Magic podcast that is. These amazing women know a ton about recording and reliving the memories of your Disney vacations, and last week they went over just a few of those ways and what works for them.

The Mighty Men of Mouse made American Independence Day even mightier. The guys give you a look into their thought process as they explain how “Moneyball,” the system of statistical analysis used by Major League Baseball’s Oakland Athletics in the late 1990s, can demonstrate unique and useful ways to think about your Disney vacation.

Wrapping up our stupendous first week was WDW 4 Families. They gave us a little background information about themselves then jumped right into what they do best: a well-reasoned discussion on a common problem at Disney. The problem in this episode was one as old as time: when to bring your children to Disney.
